yeah I hadn't gone back to verify if there was something that explicitly clear at that time.

And honestly it would kind of undercut the fact she's an actual vampire, if she didn't have one of the more well-known powers vampires are supposed to possess, so.

It'd be funny if they weren't enthralled for the sake of zany antics, but more than a little of the story starts falling apart were that actually the case.

It's obvious and expected, but calling a 25 year old vintage wine is foul.

I didn't notice it until you mentioned it but it is a weird line coming from a non-Japanese vampire that is hundreds of years old. Sometimes you can feel the mangaka behind the words more than the character and this is one of those cases.
