Man, this is such a trainwreck that I can't even consider it so bad it's good anymore. He resented his past life for being oppressed and held down, so in this life, he lets himself get oppressed and held down. He has no qualms fighting people for performing injustices, except when injustices are aimed towards himself. I get that could just be his personality, but in that case, why give him a second chance at life for him to squander? Just because his powers are strong enough to overcome physical challenges, does that mean he's completely incapable of growing as a person? I don't want him to be excessive with it, but he needs to be able to stand up for himself some more, especially when the people trying to harass and attack him are trying to abuse their power to do it. He'd be justified in using his strength if they were trying to do the same, but he just refuses to do so.

Also, that line about not wanting him to participate because he's not a noble is such a ridiculous take. Excluding the fact that the first chapter made it seem like nobles were under the command of commoners (which was most likely just shitty writing and hopefully wasn't the author's initial intention), why would a noble even need a scholarship to begin with? Isn't the whole point of it to give less fortunate students the ability to achieve the same results as their wealthier counterparts as a reward for their hard work? He's already shown he's superior to everyone else in the exams, but because he's a commoner, which the initial proctor in chapter 2.2 said didn't matter, he just has to sit back and take it? Isn't that just going to make everyone else look worse when their lowest ranked student can run laps around them?

Usually old dudes like the headmaster are wise and accepting (in terms of comic tropes at least), so it's interesting that he's so blatantly bigoted.

That said, I'm with everyone; The MC said he was going to not be held down or back by anyone, and then immediately caves in to the headmaster's demands. He should have gone anyway, won, and THEN said he wishes he could be a scholarship student, but can't (despite winning) because the headmaster says so.
RUIN HIS REPUTATION! :qq:

We're doing this shit again? I thought this was going to be a story where the MC wouldn't hold back for stupid arbitrary reasons, but guess not. I'm out.
Same fantasy academies seems always to be the same, here i can already predict the next 10 arcs, i've seen better magic academies stuff written in shojo mangas and those usually focus on the romance.

Another of these? Where the main character could flip the country upside down if he coughed hard but he keeps letting others abuse him with a smile because he wants a slow life or whatever shit?

Unfollowed. Enough is enough.

"Nobles vs Commoners" are wearing thin at this point.
the headmaster needs to be attacked by a horde of angry hamsters and taken away... while the hamsters disguises themselves as the headmaster. hmm. naw. we can't have that here... sigh.

If i was MC i'd wait two weeks to one month (so they won't suspect me) before infiltrating the headmaster room at night and smash his legs and arms and then purposefully heal them wrong (i can't be trusted with power and i'm very petty).
