As I know, Kodansha is the same kind of Korean publisher, no real freedom. Domestic Kanojo is an example, the author wanted to end it since highschool arc but you see what happened and Kodansha did this with many mangas. It's business. Other publishers may behave as you said but not Kodansha. LOL

Secret class is a Korean manga, the publisher is Topcomics (correct me if I'm wrong). But Grapara is a Japanese manga (Kodansha). We only said that Kodansha behaves like Korean publisher as they didn't give the author full freedom to work but in details they're different because Korea and Japan have different culture. Korean and Japan manga are much different in details. For example, you'll not see Korean manga sex scenes of under 18 characters in school uniform. You rarely see true incest sex (same blood). But in Japan, you saw 13+ girl in school uniform sex scene because the Japan government allow girl to have sex since 13 years old. You saw many real incest (same blood) sex scene, etc.

These are just the examples of differences. So, Topcomics and Kodansha can't be compared in what they do in details. Their damage controls are different.

I think where they went wrong was in the execution; they made it seem more like a cheating than ntr. The manga was always presented as a romcom-ntr, and the ntr was bound to happen at some point.

I think rom-com NTR means you use verbal technigue, you use your friend, etc. to make someone change her mind. Using forced sex or raping is not a rom-com method, it's a doujin method. LOL

Well, looking at it that way, rom-com and NTR don't really mix, since they lead to completely different endings. It would only work if the NTR element remained limited to "bait"—which, as we've seen, did work. Full-blown NTR right to the end would cause an uproar and it doesnt matter how you do it the execution doesnt really matter atp,is it bound to happen? not necessarily if the author had at least an iq of 80... but that’s just my humble opinion.
