Good to see this back. Thank you for your work.

Also glad that he went down. None of this misunderstanding or other nonsense that usually happens in other manga. Man took to upon himself, said him and his family were guilty.

I really do like seeing Rachel's development, it's warming to see her change from what she was.

I remembered this priest kidnapped Rachel, and nothing else.

Why did they have to spend the entire chapter deconstructing his motives like a Detective Conan story? Not to mention I have no basic knowledge about real life church doctrine or theology, so all that realisation Rachel had flew over my head.

Having a novel as a backbone to a manga can give it an inherent advantage because there's a lot of space to craft the world and its characters ahead of bringing in the adapted visual elements. That's not to say it can't be done otherwise, just that being able to make use of an author's talent is of great use. Aka Akasaka's "prologue" for Oshi no Ko ran for 10 chapters, a full volume of around 220 something pages -- but it's what he felt was needed to provide the necessary set up to the main story.

Tbf, in all likelyhood neither does the author. No correlation to any real life doctrine or theology, just "organised religion bad", most fantasy likes to preach.

Not really organized religion bad, per se, because the church itself wasn't the ones doing the Bad Thing™ here, just certain individuals taking things into their own hands.
