At this point I wonder why I should bother starting reading any manga with an interesting concept at all, only to get either axed or be a "LOL! The end. Go read the LN."

I agree 100% with you on this. I feel like this is becoming more and more common. Mangas being axed or just being teasers for LNs, fucking hate it. GL manga seem to be hit with this a lot more often, I feel like.
