I hope the author really makes Emilia a team member and it is not a dramatic twist.

Emilia could be a temporarily Maid for Lydia (would be realistic, because she is a noble) and travel for a good location. This would be better than "Emilia was only, a key for Leon's power"-plot.

It is a shame that nobody has any spoiler.

I doubt we’ll be seeing Emilia in the dungeons with them but at the very least, they’ll be traveling to another town and could use a maid on the journey. Maybe she’ll even keep that role as manager of their guild house once they’ve got more members.

lydia has shown that she’s cool with mistresses and wants Leon’s powers kept under wraps so I doubt she’ll mind much

Really hoping this duel leads to Rita reversing her decision and joining them after all. She's a cool and hot character, and the threesome last chapter strongly teased the possibility of a genuine three-way relationship with her and Leon and Lydia all being into one another. And that would just be a very refreshing dynamic to see in softcore porn manga.

It's gotta be, right? Honestly, I wouldn't mind if whatever happens, Rita comes with them. This is a harem manga, nobody should expect anything else. Having Rita either lose, purposefully lose after seeing the determination, or win but still end up leaving would be neat and also lean into the expectations.

Rita staying would subvert the expectations, but I think in a way it would also stagnate her character.

Like if it was only the run of the mill adventurers I could get it but why is the guild itself still denying his efforts? At this point even the other adventurers are acknowledging that he can't just be carried to this extent

For me it always feels like as a precaution. IF they make a precedence to put a lv 20 Elementary Job "Red Mage" to be able to get a high rank, there would be people who:

1. Try to Imitate, as in low level elementary job to do the same thing as MC, resulting in a spike of casualty

2. Will demand the same treatment, especially the rich one that will copy him of leeching from powerful party and demand that he also got a high rank.

3. Started to distrust the guild, thinking that he might be bribing to get the rank since people know already what the elementary job is capable of (The understanding of job capability is probably the standard for the ranking in the guild afterall)

Even MC knows that it's not because of the Red Mage job that he could do all of this, but because of the Sage.
