You know, this is actually pretty realistic in terms of a mob mentality during a panic. Screaming, denial, looking for someone to blame. Of course Koko being the way he is is not great. He fucking sucks at motivating his classmates AND keeping the problematic ones in line. It’s so frustrating to watch.

Anyways, this will probably devolve into a bunch of the classmates being shit villagers, and after getting beat up a bunch, Koko may actually tell them to put up or shut up. But my hopes aren’t that high for that good of a resolution.

Right now, our sweaty little Princess is still holding onto her preconceptions and suspicions... In 52.2, Kento should talk about his plans for her. But Clemens is already worried about her condition...

Changes from the novel:

• Kento had a sort of conversation with the sleep-talking Meisa- chan in his bed who said she didn’t want to lose him (she has trauma from everyone who bunks at her diner dying in the dungeons).
• Kento spied on Camilla in the bath in the morning, leaving a note on her change of clothes. That moment could be seen as a plot hole for later significant events (CH127), so it’s good it was cut. Overall, Camilla’s scene was work-shopped a lot to keep the energy high, getting rid of a lot of natter mostly between Kento and his skeletons. I like the changes.
• The office scene was relaxed and lengthier, with Klaus mentoring Kento, talking about things like how it’s inevitable to be envied in his situation, and some advice about women that builds into his Demon King persona. I guess this scene was shortened keep the energy high, but it’s a shame to miss out on the budding friendship with Klaus.

Combined with the next chapter, Kento in the book had a lot of friendliness and warmth which which to help him recover from his breakdown after talking to Camilla. Not so in the manga. This was done to keep things fast paced I guess, because the book gets really fast paced not too far from now.

tbf it's explained in 51.2 that he's planning to use her as a pawn to receive reparations. if they can't go back to Earth, might as well get something out of it.

Japanese people don't travel much (17% own a passport, according to this). Most of them are either too comfortable in their village/city, that they can't fathom leaving for a place with an inferior quality of life. The reaction of those students reminds me of that.

She thinks she is a undead. She knows he has undead, blacked out, all visible wounds gone and getting called a familiar, she thinks he killed and raised her, so she thinks she is under his control. So even though she is protecting the people, she thinks she is betraying them as she is not doing it for them but for him. She thinks she is setting them up for him to make use of. And later will find out she wasn't actually controlled yet went along with it.

He is trying to break her down mentally, so he can make her dependent on him. She is literally being worked until collapse (the fate of her victims, poetic justice), when he's planning to swoop in and heal her.

Actually, no. In the book, Kento tells them all about how he beat up Camilla and they cheer him on, though I think the manga skips that part. Klaus handles them well in both.
