Takayama guy went from having luxury life with loving maid to a shared room and having to work... not saying that takes away the blame from him... just that he, no... all of them should go to hunt monsters, let them see how things are outside, then tell them that if they don´t behave, they will be thrown away

Takayama and the rest weren't eaten by monsters in their first night... they need the fear of the monsters put in to them, like the reason why all live and obey the laws of the town, is because of the monsters

I actually like this point of view... they think they are in school or rather, in modern society from a first world country... they expect a level of comfort and treatment align with their age, something that here is nonexistent

...I still think this is the story of the origin of the demon lord because of people´s stupidity, but now i see that the MC has a bit of a spine... More of it and he would have just nope out of all of it a long time ago

Thanks for the translation! This is why Camilla decided to shut Takayama's mouth by putting her sister's lips on them. Fortunately, this is a series where character development actually happens.

Onto changes:

• Welp, with Motomiya's bikini armor, the pool arc is dead and buried. It would have taken years to get to it anyway. Looks like Motomiya's masochism was made into a running gag. In the web novel, it felt like her character wasn't fleshed out or used enough. It's another case of adding foreshadowing, in this case, for how Camilla greets Kent.
• Looks like a lot of Marcel's appearances got cut. IMO he was one of the least interesting supporting characters.
• Yuika is significantly less jealous and controlling than she was in the web novel here. Biggest personality change.
• It looks like the subplot about the flamehounds adventurers was cut or moved. Well, they couldn't show Kent putting a ribbon on the leader's dick and threatening to cut it off next time.

Something to consider is alot of the classmates likely are clutching to a sense of superiority over our MC. (Takeyama absolutely is...)

Not sure how it went in our world, but there was a public display of his uselessness before he got dumped to die. So, for him to have built up money and connections and power - surely the rest who are "useful" deserve better treatment?

Some seem to be catching on, but many of them seem to assume they will be treated like they were in our world now that they are free (as others have pointed out)... Despite the harsh treatment, deaths, and constant threats to their well being - since they haven't suffered directly like Kento, they still seem to feel entitled.

I worry what crap the "mean girl boss" there is gonna stir up just because she can...

Kizawa is full of surprises, I'm hoping she'll be up to more trouble in this version!

It's a good move to ultimately get the teachers involved. If only the opportunity allowed him to get the teachers first before the Takayama batch of people, things would've gone better. Kokubun would not have to deal with a person with a main-character syndrome just because he got to pork someone every night.

Kent could only rescue the others because the opportunity to do so without arising suspicion presented itself. We will see soon, that poking around in Camilla's backyard doesn't go unnoticed. As for Takayama, I'm sure he would have given even the teachers trouble.

I can't get over how spineless and at certain points stupid the MC is....
I mean there is a VERY simple answer to "I refuse to work".
And that is "ok have fun starving because I am not giving you a single coin, not even for living expenses unless you make yourself useful", what are they going to do? Use force to make him give them money?.
Even the most stubborn one of the lot will have no other recourse but to get off their lazy ass and work after a few days without food and sleeping on the gutter.

He is already responding like that, having lowered the poverty-grant even further after it was already lowered.

Giving the bare minimum (shelter and a grant/basic income) is still reasonable as it keeps them from becoming even larger problems (like, say, criminality). ...and if they truly want to avoid working then that's fine too, just means they will have rather miserable days as they have to skimp on any luxuries and even food quality, to make the poverty-grant from mc last.

What mc needs to do, is simply directly and clearly reject any requests for more, and if they wasted their grant, then at most give the stalest hardest bread in a minimal supply, or something similar.

Takayama definitely reeks of privilege in both the old world and new. Reminds me of the golden child stories where they throw a tantrum and blame everyone else when they f up and get into trouble. Kento needs to stick one of his minions to him because he's definitely going to try and run off and go back to his life of privilege.

Really that's your excuse? He's a "child", because 90.0% of the things he has done so far are not things a child would do.

iirc he just didn't know where the teachers were until recently. the first 5 was purely cause of the expedition happening so he just jumped on that chance right away, so don't think protag had that much time to prep all this and focus on the order of saving people
