Well it's her arc where she grows in power.
Sogou is an interesting character, many don't like her (not me), but she's not the typical heroic Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu that we generally see in that type of Isekai, so stupidly strong that nobody can challenge them in their mentality. She's stupidly strong, yes, but she has several weaknesses that makes me enjoy following this character (less than Touka though).

yeah we got pretty bad examples of heroes on isekai, when they aren't the mc they just have power and nothing more, but Sogou is the definition of a modern heroine, a powerfull being that helps others even if she can't save everyone i wans't liking the classmates parts but her being in the middle of it is saving those arcs for me hahhaha

Nah I just would’ve preferred a cooler fight and less filler. The highest hurdle the MC had to clear this fight was my attention span

Extending the fight is more filler. The MC's skillset is not for flashy explosive "cool" fights. He literally paralyzes and poisons people so they can't move and succumb to DOT effects. What "cooler" fight are you expecting? Your demand is just pointless story padding at an already glacial pace for story progression.

Reminder, this battle started at chapter 45. This is chapter 55. We have taken 10 months irl for this ONE battle and it's still technically not even over. This one single battle has not yet been resolved in 10 months. And you wanted this fight to be longer?

I mostly played 3.5 long ago and now I'm starting from scratch (a.k.a. the strater set about the dragons and the island) on 5th (2024). So far so good, I'm curious about the Tieflings, after movie's Doric. But mostly I played old LoTR, WFRP and W40KRP: Dark Heresy. But I've been a while without playing anything and I miss it.

We never drove out GM nuts, I think. If anything he was the one who jump-scared us from time to time to keep us in line. For example, on one adventure just after leaving a village, we saw a weird hill in the distance who was swaying like breathing. A difficult check later we discovered it wasn't a hill, but the fucking Tarrasque taking a nap. I think we never returned so quickly to base ever.

Don't know, but the Tarrasque thing sounds hilarious.

We drive our current GM insane because we always miss all the riches she hid somewhere for us and either over- or underperform in battle, so she is constantly changing the challenge rating of the coming encounters and it's an endless up and down, haha.

Oh, and our dice are cursed, when we don't need them, we always roll natural 20s, when we need them, we always roll natural 1s.

There was never a struggle. A modicum of struggle would have made this more interesting to read and you could make that happen in 5 extra panels.

I didn't say the fight had to be longer, just cooler. But you can read some of my other messages about how some of this could be condensed, which would allow for a longer fight.

There was never a struggle. A modicum of struggle would have made this more interesting to read and you could make that happen in 5 extra panels.

It's not because he's the Isekai protagonist, it's only because he's from an other world. Sogou could fight the other demon for the same reason, those born from that world can't.

That said, Touka still used his brain and made him think he was from that world and purposefully asked Seras and Eve to describe him what happened when they're in presence of the Demon King's Aura to trick the Demon and kill it.

What did you expect ? The main focus was not on Touka Mimori, it was on his classmates. He was just Aragorn saving the day in ROTK.
