Funnily enough I went back to the first chapter and the big sister was the one that said "how worthless" to him before he went into that dungeon. But it was probably for the sake of the plot of him being in rage since she seems to have some good actions towards others like this one

I recall reading that wasn't meant to be directed at the lead, but their disgust towards the others not doing more. The LN is more clear than the ambiguity of the manga.

No they didn't, she still can't speak, she'll Just gesture, this way she won't be able to give any information other than the ones they ask, she can't make her own questions or even say anything about MC to them. A really contrived way to delay the MC encountering them.

It's one of those works that has a sort of Battle Royale feel. There are multiple sides and varied personalities. Rather than being good vs bad, it's more like different people/groups are following their own selfish goals/agenda. The complexities are hard to get across in a manga, though even for the LN, it's far from clear what various persons/groups are up to.
