Those humans are specific individuals, so it's not a good comparison. You wouldn't say, "a Jack the Ripper," ending with "human" or not.

I don't mind them losing the first fight against an S rank monster they know nothing about, but I feel like the decisive moment was poorly depicted. They suddenly simply stopped attacking altogether, immediately after they had started to make progress, which makes zero sense. Then the giant bug caught a dragon, because why not, Allen's group had stopped attacking, giving it plenty of opportunities. It started sucking the dragon dry, while Allen's group did nothing but watch it fascination. It's like the dynamics of the whole fight so far were thrown into the trash can.
