I sorta don't understand the exchange between the old man and MC on the roof.
So old man asked why MC live a constrained live.
Mc answered he likes it behind the scene.
Old man suddenly said something about mc Brave family blood, and whether his resolve is actually weak for some reason?
MC then was angered thinking old man will harm Alicia?
Sorry I'm kinda slow on these parts
"So there's a student I've got suspicions about."
"What's to be suspicious of? She's here through the normal methods."
"Call it a hunch." ([internal monologue of evidence of foul play and the probable mastermind])
"I understand your reasoning, but until we know what the goal of this conspiracy is it's better to let them act where we can see them without stopping them."
"It is admittedly nice to not have to do anything about it."
"Isn't it frustrating to have that in the back of your mind instead of being able to do the normal stuff you'd want to do in school?"
"People know I'm no-one special, it's fine." (I just need to grin and bear it until we're done with school.)
"I didn't know your family raised do-nothings. Is that really alright?"
[PUNCH]
"I'm handling the situation and gathering information and it's pretty clear you're doing the same. If my fiancée gets hurt because you just wanted to give this conspiracy more rope to hang itself with, you and I are going to have a problem, no matter what our relative standings are."
"Understood. So you should be made aware that more than just political maneuvering is at work in your new friend getting messed with."
The whole conversation is basically just agreeing that something's going on and having a minor snit over how much inaction is acceptable from the guy who has a direct concern with whatever's going on and the guy who has the resources to do a lot more about whatever's going on.
