The sword probably just has a sort of future sight and is aware that he is prepping for the war and just went WELL NOW time to speed up this timetable. It's also not really a bad thing because it'll make it faster to propagate the knowledge to strengthen everyone

I mean, saw this coming the second they foreshadowed it, but still...he was shaping up to make himself into an anti-hero with the being possessed by an evil spirit thing and prepping in the shadows, why throw the curve-ball to make him a normal hero?

Why excactly was this Romance? The most romance we had to this point was between the main and the Prince....I mean that would be an interesting twist but who is the Heroine again? The Evil Spirit possesing him? I think at the moment the Romance is VERY sub plot XD
