I feel like this could've easily been placed together with the previous chapter...

Description - tries to not be self-insert wish fulfillment.

Actual series - totally self-insert wish fulfillment.

Crap through and through. Author didn't have the guts to stick to the actual premise.

It's. . . . kinda wholesome? Or am I just grasping at the straws that make up this manga's plot?

one or two more episodes/chapters and its a good way to end season 1, but thats not how manga's work, only manwa's/Korean manga work like that

@comeonnow0 I'm pretty sure the actual premise was pretty obvious early on. This was always the actual premise, the other thing is just an unreliable narrator being unreliable or something along those lines.

@Glomoro That doesn't disprove my point. If anything, that just proves my point even more. Yes, it was clear that it was transparent, predictable, and boring writing from the very beginning. That doesn't make it any less transparent, predictable, or boring.

@comeonnow0 Well, just to be clear my actual point was that it's a bit late in the game to still be pining for something the story never was from the start. If you don't like what it actually is, mazel tov?

This is nice, but I think it’s be best for the story if the mc explained dhow he just prefers to be alone (it’s more comfortable and everything) and everyone understood that (except prez who maybe forced the mc to take her with him). I think it would be better (and more interesting) for the story (and world building) if after this the class split into different groups (though no longer based on the initial cliques) and started making their mark in different avenues in the world (and spreading out more). With the MC traveling by himself (or just with Prez for now) and then maybe running into the others and seeing what amazing stuff they’ve set up or done at different points in the story. This would allow us to return to the “loner” mc doing spectacularly by himself despite getting the seemingly worst abilities and setting up amazing stuff himself (like his original base) AND it would allow for a lot more exploration, world building, and new characters (because honestly since we’ve gotten to this “fantasy” world. I haven’t seen a lot of new fantasy elements or characters). I don’t necessarily hate where the story is now, but I think if it continues to go in the same direction then it’ll get pretty boring and uninteresting in the future. This feels like a nice end to a beginning arc and good setup for the class to truly disperse and embark on the new world. I really don’t need future chapters of “lonely attack on the different world” to focus all on the characters from our world (class that got isekai’d) and have the “loner” mc return to a huge welcome from all his classmates (well most) who didn’t help him in his difficult fight because reasons (it really doesn’t matter if the reasons make sense or not, but if we keep getting this late dbz Goku like “everyone but the mc is worthless in fights”, its gonna get pretty dry for this type of series). Like I said this feels like a nice close to an arc and the story isn’t necessarily bad (all opinion) now, but I think it would be best to change direction to allow for a more interesting reading experience. I mean with another world setting the author can do nearly anything, but so far hasn’t (at least to my normal standards he hasn’t done as much as he could to make a staple/mark in this genre). The class not being a bunch of irredeemable assholes is fairly unique for this setup, but by itself not interesting enough to carry the whole story

@Glomoro I mean, I never saw this as the story from the start. The title is “Lonely attck on the different world” and for the longest it was that (which I logically thoughts was the premise). Then at one point the popular girls joined him, then more of the girls, then they moved to the town, and then it just never went back to being what I thought the series was. I would not say that the “actual” premise was obvious from the start. I’d say the author changed directions midway through. I’d go further to argue that if there can even be ANY confusion of what the premise and “actual” premise was (and that you even had to say “actual” premise at all as if there was ever a doubt as to what the premise was or it was something hidden), is a failure of the author. The premise should be fairly simple and straightforward. It SHOULD be obvious to readers. Telling readers they’re getting one story and tricking them into reader a different type of story (by changing things up however many chapters in), isn’t clever, it’s a cheap trick. Anyone can do that snd its REALLY easy. It doesn’t make a work more interesting and generally with how its done it disinterests and/or disappoints readers because what they started reading for is gone. The story FROM THE START followed the mc as he tried to survive and thrive in a different world BY HIMSELF with seemingly useless left over abilities. I don’t remember anything in chapter 1, 2, or 3 that hinted at this “actual” premise of your that the story was pining from the start. Regardless any and EVERY reader has the right to no longer like the story because it is very obviously different than what it was in the start. Everyone has different opinion and takes on works they read. Its no ones place to downplay or trivialize anyone’s opinion by making excuses for the author and story. Its never “late in the game” to want the story to be something else, if you PERSONALLY AND TRULY think it would be better if it was that way.

Oh, no, they talk. Dear god they talk. But he's a complete brick wall.

Like, there's this one scene where he goes to the weapon store to sell goblin clubs to the weapon store. In an RPG, who cares, sell as many as you want, right?

Code:
A normal weapon store.

The place where they sell common swords, spears, shields. I can’t equip any of that though. And also don’t have any money for them.

「Old man, will you buy goblin clubs?」

I ask a bald old man. I don’t need them anyway but have a ton. Even if they cost next to nothing, I still want some cash.

「Yeah, I’ll buy, but I won’t give much for them. From 500 ere for one.」

This is a rip-off. Clubs on sale at the stop are 1000-2000 ere, yet he buys them for 500? More than half is a profit. Well, even with the maintenance of the store and the baldie’s salary taken into account, 50% is…… No, stores in the original world probably wouldn’t have given even 100 ere for them? This might be a pretty good store.

「How many are you willing to buy?」

If I sell 10 of them, it’s 5000 ere already, which can cover living expenses.

「How many? We are a weapon store. We obviously will buy as many as you are willing to sell. We are running a legit business here, you know?」

As expected of a real store, no limit on purchases. The old man is probably a good baldie.

*Thud Clang Clang Clang Thud Clang Thud Thud Clang Thud Clang Thud Thud Thud Thud Clang Thud Thud Clang Thud Clang ………*

「……」

「……?」

「……I’m sorry, I was full of myself. Please let me off at 50.」

Code:
The next time I come here the place might already turn into a specialist shop with clubs only. That’s some zeal.

It might turn into a famous store, where all club users of this world are going to gather.

I’m sure assault-type club-using magical girls will come to shop here as well. They probably won’t have enough money and will wail 『Fuuue, I don’t have enough moooney』, I’m sure of it.

Hire one such girl, and we will find the geeks the next second. They will just pop out of thin air. Oh no, it will put the girl in danger!

Or when they first arrive at the inn and he wants to burn down the adventurer's guild for suggesting it.

Code:
「White Weirdo Inn」

Time to call the police! It’s a weirdo! And a white one! And on top of that, it’s an inn! I want to report this!

「Welcome, the adventurers guild already contacted us.」

「Goodbye. I’m off to burn down the guild.」

A poster girl. A cute poster girl. The problem is the poster itself. A big problem.

「Mister, please wait. It’s okay. The strange is only the name. You shouldn’t set fire to the adventurers guild!」

「No, it’s not okay. White Weirdo is surely not okay. If you know that it is strange, why won’t you change it?」

Half crying, the poster girl tried to stop me. Indeed, going all the way back just to burn the guild sounds like a pain. I should just shoot at it from here.

「Haruka-kun, why are you holding your staff like a rifle? Why are you pointing it at the adventurers guild? Why do your eyes look like those of the main character from Golgo? Don’t make a girl cry!」

「Eh? I’m not going to shoot? I’m not, but… It’s just that? Diving into the urge a bit?」

「I heard about giving in to an urge, but diving into it? So you are doing it totally on purpose? You are brimming with the desire to shoot! This is a premeditated crime!」

「Okay, President, will you be able to say 『Yesterday, I stopped at White Weirdo’s place until the morning』?」

「……Shoot.」

The job was accepted, free of charge.

「No, doon’t! The ladies from the guild often recommend our inn, so we are getting a lot of customers, and, and, and also……」

For some reason, the poster girl is desperately trying to stop me with tears in her eyes.

「Okay, got it, I won’t shoot.」

Having said that, I patted her on the head, after which her face turned red.

「Father, we have customers.」

Saying that she went back into the inn.

Yes, it’s fine. Tomorrow, I’m going to the guild anyway. So there is no need to shoot right now.

For some reason, the girls are looking at me with Golgo eyes? Eh?

@TNT261 They introduced an entire class of people who he knew that got isekai'd alongside him. He was never going to stay separated from them the entire time, he would absolutely meet up with them again at some point, and even if he tried to avoid them he would have just started wandering around with people from this new world sooner than later. That was my first impression of the series, in chapter one. Nobody is actually going to write a wish fulfilment OP MC fantasy series where there's no interaction with other sentient beings, ever. He would have had traveling companions if not "party members," in spite of his weird skills that offer detriments if he works with people.

I expected him to have some random animal eared girl as a harem member by now, honestly. Class prez would've been the "first obvious romantic interest, but she only gets to join the harem later on" one. Hell, that might be exactly what we're about to kick off on now, with him trying to sneak off.

If anything, the most dangerous individual out there would be Ms Prez because of her skill.
Ms Prez was a good natured lady naturally, and she treasured her classmate even that scum that was whopped by MC in the last chapter.

If you want to experience the ill Ms Prez, confess to her, make her fall in love to you and try to cheat.
I dont know and can;t imagine what will happen next when you do...
