If they got a C&D then they should drop it but given we’re talking about a group that only started the series after it was licensed (which was why it got dropped by the previous translator in the first place) and releases volume exclusive chapters that were never meant to be free, I think there’s a decent chance they don’t care what the publisher says and wouldn’t consider continuing immoral. Gambling that they won’t (or can’t) pursue legal action.

I buy the manga anyway, and I've read it trough the official niconico website.

I do agree they should drop it, you can read it trough J-novel site anyway, and the translator is also translating the LN, so there is less chance of translation mistakes too.
Quof the translator is also a machine, so the translation of the LN is moving at quite the speed. Manga might need more time because of larger pipeline
