What happened to the English translations? There are so many missing chapters.

Part 1 started in 2015, followed by part 2 in 2018 (still ongoing). But publisher got impatient and commissioned another artist to do part 3 at the same time. Once again, in 2020 they commissioned the third artist to do part 4, so now we have 3 series running simultaneously.

ahhh. jeez. no wonder. here I was gonna complain about not believing that one mangaka would be simultaneously on three different projects at the same time. Still, it's weird the second season of the anime came out and ended some time ago, yet part 2 is still ongoing. shakes head sigh

Seems that you misinterpreted that I said this particular LN was badly written. To clarify, I meant all LNs I've read are seem poorly written and I have not read this LN nor do I intend to because my past experiences.

It cannot be just because the LNs are poorly MTL translations since official published LNs have the same flaws. That example I brought up was from goblin slayer vol 1. Since have enjoyed both the manga and anime of goblin slayer, I can only conclude that LN are just functionally script drafts. Even fan fiction the script format is considered to be a unacceptable standard, so why should I tolerate a published work that expects you pay for it to have it in all but in name?

well, since our experiences don´t overlap and we are therefore unable to compare details, all i can do is repeat my recommendation for this particular LN. I have finished the final volume (33) by now and can wholeheartedly say i don´t regret a single cent i´ve spent on it. It is by far my favorite Isekai and in terms of story telling it doesn´t need to shy away even from something like Lord of the Rings.
