What I find to hurt me about weathering with you, is how they gloss it over, we don't properly see the way people got hurt, how much this sacrifice cost, we have an old guy who talks about Tokyo being originally like that. It felt like a (fallacious) appeal to nature

Actually, Harry Potter is set in the 90s (first book takes place in 1991) so her thoughts about antiquated communication like a pager is a pretty close parallel to a muggle of that time period
