@johnny_average You learn that about a lot of spices as you get into your "experimental" cooking phase. I've been on a garlic bread binge lately, and I've started adding parsley in since it adds just a tiny dimension of flavor to the bread that makes it more enjoyable without taking away from the freshly grated garlic. I never thought about parsley prior to reading recipes online, but now I'm experimenting more and more with it to see what it works with, and I've found that I enjoy it with steak, mashed potatoes, and added into my breadcrumbs for things like chicken legs.
Very acquired. It may come overnight, or over a particularly hot day, a bout of adolescent bravado, or should you ever realize how cloyingly sirupy sweet drinks are. Tastes tend to change as you get older. Or it might never.
