@TNT261 I grew up in a household with parents who fostered, and it wasn't uncommon for people to have friends in a similar situation. We always let them stay until they were comfortable leaving or got back on their feet. At one point we had 9 kids staying with us (myself, my brother, and 7 fosters/boarders).

Nowadays, lot more legal red tape, but I've let two of my little brother's 19+ friends stay at my place for over a year each. One bc of getting chased out for being a lesbian, one (still here) to get clean from a pill addiction. I guess I empathize with the MC too much.

It started with an intriguing premise. now it’s just some bizarre overthinking. The author really forces the absurdly unrealistic nice white knight gay/asexual chick magnet MC.

This manga must be good, because people are arguing for different characters. This type of controversy means that the story is making the reader think which is always a good thing. Just kidding, I hope it ends in an all out orgy.

Literally no reason at all for him to just clarify the reason why Gotou was over at his place....

Giving explanations to a girl out of his interest just to justifies ones action about whether it is love or obsession. THIS SHIT IS JUST TO REAL!!!!

It would be funnier if on some chapter later, another FMC just came out of nowhere and just makes everyone explode

Well, you know...
BIG SPOILER
It will happen. Mostly because Yoshida and Sayu relationship will be way too strong, so Gotou and the kouhai only feel like fillers at this point.
The new girl will be Yoshida Ex girlfriend, who will obviously work in the same place as him, and everyone will be salty about her.
Not only Sayu and the others girls, but the readers too, because she is basically Gotou 1.2.

"Every bitch trying to Psychoanalyse me, it's all so troublesome." but Yoshida is too nice to say that.

Bruh, I don't get her point at all.
The only issue I can think of is Sayu's unknown origin, author has yet to explain why she ran away. Even then, Sayu has stated she doesn't want to return, so doesn't that just fill in all the pieces for A-Gotou marries MC B- MC officially puts Seyu under his guardianship. There perfect happy ending for all except the nosy ass kouhai. MC can't imagine a life without his daughter, basically like all fathers when they get children ಠ_ಠ

I like that this manga doesn't really hold its punches on anything. It takes a gloomy, but rather realistic interpretation of the difficult position that the MC finds himself in.

That said, this monologue for Mishima just doesn't work for me at all. It's not even that her reasoning is flawed, which is debatable, but that this whole conversation feels so forced. I don't think Mishima's personality fits it at all; it feels more like its just the Author telling me, "This is the inner conflict of the arc and I don't have a better way to introduce it". To add to it, the MC feels so passive in this scene, and I don't think it's
because he's outstandingly timid.
This whole chapter just uses Exposition in the guise of Dialogue.
