I enjoy this, but the way she treats her family would not fly in most occasions. Treating the head of the family, the man who feeds and clothes you, with disdain and disrespect is the surest way of getting disowned and put out on the street.

Most royalty, even if they hate their parents, still give slight respect due to these rules. However, since this is fictional, I suppose the rules are being bent because it feels satisfying to the reader
