Thanks for the chapter!
LN gives more detail. Basically those two two tubes help with healing, HP and MP replenishment and regeneration. Only works in dungeon, the city, and a short distance from the city so won't do anything if way out in the countryside, don't know if his camp close enough or not yet. That's why the thugs were able to heal from the bullet wounds he gave them along with the small wounds. After all, takes a lot longer to heal a two foot long slash couple inches deep than a 1/4 inch hole even if it goes all the way through. Also, can't heal decapitation (at least not without outside help like putting head back in place,) and effect will eventually run out from use hence having it where others can see it so can inform and cover for holder if empty. Also, Evetta didn't need to hit him with the book much less so hard and MC noted others who got theirs weren't hit. As for Evetta's description of level it basically means he's on the low end of average at best and will likely take longer to recover compared to others even if wounded less.
LN also mentions that part of reason adventurers are suppose to use the baths to clean up before leaving the dungeon was due to someone not cleaning themselves off before leaving resulting in a terrible disease spreading across the city hence the rule. As for why teacher only took humes is because to avoid racial favoritism, culture shock, and having teacher have personal experience with racial characteristics of group the guild has the teacher and group composed of the same species as each other so an elf teacher for an elf group, beastman teacher for beastman group, etc. Also, that pig monster only has a couple inches between it's skin and the ceiling and walls to make it harder for prey to dodge around.
Only read this far in LN but find it hard to believe Guild wouldn't know about something like that on the floor so likely part of test to see how handle it and if lose nerve for dungeon exploring if lose to it. After all, wouldn't be first time newbies got conceited finishing off weak monsters and then panicking and falling apart when meet a strong enemy. Although not sure if those tubes or some other way like a cleric's resurrection spell can raise them from dead if experience a party wipe if lose horribly so will just have to see what happens, if any explanations given, or whether this is a test or a means to cull the weak from the strong to keep the fatalities down.
@bosbarret Yep, although seems he's giving her a lot of freedom. Don't know enough about king yet but hoping that in honor of her service as an adventurer he became her owner so she can live freely and make her own choices while being protected from prejudice by being his. Like that party member who explained how Evetta wasn't beastkin and assumed she was property and could be bought for a price without any doubt that Evetta might be a free citizen. That, and as far as the law is concerned she's probably considered a monster and not a person or citizen no matter how intelligent or talented she is. So if was freed and on her own an adventurer who attacked, raped and killed her might only be considered immoral but not having broken law by killing a monster while she could get in a lot of trouble just for defending herself and injuring the adventurer. Lot like how blacks were treated in the South before the Civil War. For those with slaves it was cheaper, easier, and made them feel superior to consider blacks as beneath them and not even human at times and strongly resisting to consider that they were wrong and were abusing their fellow human beings. Or at least as long as it was to their benefit. Lot of hypocrisy popped up here and there such as they felt it was ok to own and abuse slaves as they like because they felt blacks were property, but then when government was assigning things based on population they said blacks were people and therefore they had a higher population and should get more.
@YueEr While agree they can measure HP and MP it's not like the holder dies when the tubes empty out because ran out of HPs/MPs. Tubes are a multipurpose tool that does multiple things. Take the thugs for example. Tubes healed the bullet wounds quickly but returned to normal healing rate when tubes ran out due to MC inflicting more damage than tubes could cover hence their mangled state when MC was dragging them to guard station in a ball.
