I miss the early paisen who would be reduced to tears. It works best when he gets beaten down due to his own weakness. Him attempting to toss some counter punches isn't so bad, but he should get it back 2x as hard. Nagatoro self-destructing is also fine, but it should be because she's just made herself just TOO wide open.
Anyway it was really apparent to me after recently re-reading the series.

Honestly the president's reasoning for intervention is solid but her presumptious attitude as well her setting up the silly competition is pretty dumb. She literally has nothing to lose from it seeing as she was never there in the first place nor helped prevent the situation from happening despite being president.

For those of you who don't understand why the vast majority of readers are mad at the president, this is a learning experience for you to try to understand respectful human interaction. The president is not a bitch for kicking out the gyarus or chewing out senpai for letting the gyarus take over the club room. Both of those actions are justified. She is a bitch for acting like she's not at fault, for shitting on his art and work ethic for no reason, for jumping straight to the nuclear option of disbanding the club, and for tying some weird childish challenge to the whole thing.

@Wexmajor Precisely. She left the club and remains the president in name alone, yet she wants to take control over everything despite not knowing what this "everything" entails.
She is nothing more than a control freak at his point.

So if she wins, she gets what she wants, based off of half baked knowledge and biases, and loses nothing, and if she loses, she loses nothing and probably also gets what she wants, in some bs form. And in both scenarios, she likely gets zero punishment of condemnation for petulant and borderline abusive control freak behavior. Yea, I'm predicting a bullshit "I was just testing you" end to this.

@Alleycat She did not abandon she is a third year that’s the thing with the school systems based on just about every anime with clubs. Again most sports anime has this where the seniors will quit cause of finals if they lose cliche

And technically speaking she still has not quit (just like most of the members) their ghost members so in a way they are helping by not reducing the members. That’s why the Stuco consulted her an not go to Paisen cause he has 0 authority in the club itself. I mean it would be a lot more cliche if the stuco president went and fought with them cause that’s usually what happens in club anime.

Big tiddies Prez. And I'm pretty sure she's actually interested in MC anyway. It's about time Nagatoro get some love rival... like a proper shounen manga should be.

@greatninja3 If they're ghost members just to pad the numbers and keep the club from disbanding, then I think they've got even less of a say here. She's the president, but in name only. The art club hasn't been doing art club-like things under the MC's supervision, that's true. But the pres doesn't have the right to arbitrarily kill the club. She let go of the club, and hasn't contributed anything to it for some time. She doesn't financially own or support it in any way. She only has her title, that's it, and I feel she doesn't deserve it since she hasn't done anything meaningful with it for some time.

If she didn't have time any more to be in the art club, she should've officially let go of the leadership.

It's really nice that Nagatoro gets downright mad whenever someone puts Senpai down, even if the person insulting Senpai is Senpai himself. Despite all the teasing, Nagatoro seems to believe in Senpai more than anyone else.
Also, while everyone is talking about President trying to disband the club, I'm wondering if there's more to her motivations other than "is Senpai taking this club seriously?".
Like is she upset over Senpai not doing much with the art club or is she upset over Senpai spending time with Nagatoro?
Grasping at straws, perhaps. However, it would be interesting if President has feelings for Senpai, forcing Nagatoro to try to consider being more honest with her feelings or simply try to murder President.

Tbh it's not that she abandoned the club, it's just the 3rd year school system that as senior must not join any clubs so you can focus for your future study like entering college etc without any distruption. But you still can go to club as non member of course..
