I am starting to really not understand this author's intentions with introducing rage inducing characters and then leaving them off the hook with a pat in the back. This shit is starting to get old real fast, because it is the same shit they pulled with Lene and Manaria, just not to the same extent. Why is the author so afraid of dealing consequences? This is fiction, a story where you have control, for fuck's sake please for once understand that this kinda shit does not improve the storytelling of the manga one bit.

Unfortunately, that's how it tends to be in real life. Horrible situations like this that happened so long ago usually get brushed aside by the perpetrators, and the victims are perceived as "worse" if they try to "make a big deal" out of something that happened years ago. Story-wise, it's anticlimactic, but it's pretty realistic.

Yes, I and many others understand reality is often more inconsequential and forgetting. But this is a manga, a story, a fiction. We are not here to see a replicate of the unsatisfactory reality, or maybe you get off from seeing these shit characters just getting away with whatever they want to do, but a lot of us really don't like it when the story keeps introducing these characters and stories.
