Is it a trend for the heroine to also be isekai’d but they always end up obnoxious?? One day, we’ll get an accomplice... one day.

@liszst not the heroine but in the yandere otome isekai one there is a male character which kinda fits that description. there's like 1 or 2 others that have that i think? but there ares one that exist.

@Banhchuoi bleh. That sucks! As a waspy looking mutt, you have my condolences.

Truthfully, it shouldn't be that way. I'm part middle-eastern and even Israel does this—extra messed up if you ask me (so much for learning from the Holocaust). European looking people get preference with tan skinned getting the middle and brown/dark skin colors getting treated like scum (even *if* they are Jews). Bleh.

Seems like a global suckfest. Central & South America are having this too. Venezuela and Bolivia have the PoC (which are mostly socialists) vs the Imperialist European progeny working with the US Fascists, neoliberals, and corporate oligarchy to overthrow the democratically elected governments. Venezuela was able to rebuff them, but Bolivia just had a coup d'etat that outsted their President. It's fucked. Thank you CIA. Bleh.

As such, I think that the coloration is a universal thematic for ethnicism.

yes, there are enough otome novels where someone good natured reincarnates as the villainess while someone bad natured reincarnates as the heroine(sometimes they just make the heroine to have always been secretly evil and it just never showed up at all in the game or novel beforehand) as a way of introducing conflict. it's something of a trope.

Ehh... the typical entitled moron reincarnates as the heroine. Nothing to see here. She's just going to self-destruct when nothing goes her way.

Why's she gotta command the dude like a pokemon? He should be able to manage without commands.

Also damn, not being able to do your own magic because of strong protection sounds like a shit deal.

Honestly this wasn't one of the tropes I'd hoped to see pulled out of the bag on this one.

This would be much more compelling if the heroine was put at odds against our protagonist by some subtle twist of fate, now or later, or heck, even if they even just got along instead. Or the heroine being another quiet reincarnee with her own problems and goals, that could have worked too.

But "a wild annoying heroine appears"? It just clashes kind of brutally with the theme so far (which has been fairly sombre, no?)

Then again, I don't know where the author is going with this. It could still be cool.

Okay the introduction of the heroine was trashy as hell. Making the heroine behave this way only for the sake or her being the villain it's horrible writing.

and there goes what little respect i had for this novel, i just wish authors would put more energy into thinking about another person being the heroine and not rely on tropes like they know about the setting and are convinced they can let it play out like it does in their otome game just because. i swear i've read more competent heroines in the past, both in web novels and in manga.

I honestly don't know why, but my head is adding Jibril's voice from No Game No Life over the heroine and the "dubbing" is hilarious as shit.

I already hate the Heroine. Annoying af and it came out of nowhere. I liked this so far so I'll read more. But this made me lose some interest.

Wait im confused is that scene on page 14 just her imagination or what?

And that "you cant use magic yourself" line is really fucking stupid
nobody can use magic
you are ALL borrowing power from spirits theres no difference between the two her spirit is just a whole lot stronger

Ah so this takes the same approach as that one other LN where the heroine is also reincarnated but so oblivious and thinks her life is the same as the game/novel.
I don't really like this development because the end result will be cliched, the position between heroine & villain will be reversed. Hopefully not that cliched.
