Hm, not sure how to feel about the implications of this when combined with another post claiming he's aiming for tragedy with this story.

Yami lays it out here though that the triangle is the tragedy.

She's already mentally preparing for losing Yuu or Hikari, very possibly both - is probably part of her reasoning for why she didn't say anything to Hikari when she figured it out. ETA: and if the flip Aya/Yuu happens, then Hikari probably loses one or both of her most important people.

Also while this is technically 13.5, wasn't this written after the big twist chapter and shouldn't it go there? Here it'll completly ruin the impact of the climax for folks starting now.

Yeah hopefully the twist in ch21 is it really cause i just dont know what other possible route that the author can go to if he wants another rugpull of some sort. Like both hikari/yami being the final girl is still very much possible lol

If the author's idea of an overall tragedy is that a shocked Hikari flees the school over a misunderstanding, runs into traffic, is hit by a car, and gets put into a coma - Kimi ga Nozomu Eien 2025 let's go, then I am straight-up rage quitting this series. god, fuck that show so much...

Yeah, and add "(again after having him forced back into her life unexpectedly)" after "losing Yuu," considering she's finally doing okay-ish now after going through that once already. And for the telling Hikari part... holy crap, even if you wanted to, how would even start? I don't think Yami's gonna be able to get a few drinks in her ahead of time or anything.

lol, and you know that even if Yami tried to tell Hikari about their past just to get it out there, the comments would accuse her of trying to sabotage Hikari/Yuu by bringing up his past. Even/especially if Hikari was like "Oh word? That's fucked up."

Yeah i get that but just find it a bit frustrating really how the new reader of this manga wont really get the shock factor we all got in ch21 cause surely reading that first 20ch that focus on hikari while the cover is an entirely different girl is a bit of a give away of how the story will go lol

The truck thing wasn't the tragedy in KGNE, but just a tool to make the actual drama unfold. I do prefer when all the drama is character-driven instead of sickness\coma\moving away stuff, but the situation it created in KGNE was worth it. The story had other problems, but let's not go there.
