Yeah technically the OG FMC was never dating her love interest so it's not NTR but i mean you can't convince everyone otherwise lol
Well there a sub genre NTR called BSS (Boku Suki Saki Ni) lit Even I already like him/her first.

Where character A who have relationship with character B and have feeling to character B, but get snatched by C and that C character already have relationship with B character, before A confessing his/her feeling to character B

No. Hikari only KNEW him first. Ayami LOVED him first. Hikari only became interested in him later either after or around when Ayami and Yuu broke up. If the kiss scene was the first point Ayami and Yuu got together THEN it would be BSS.

Why do you think she does though? In this chapter they are doing literally the same thing as Yuu did with Hikari, except they are also intimate.
Because she ramps up the physical touch when her internal monologue veers back to Hikari - she's thinking "I will not let this place be taken away from me" right before she initiates the heavy make out session. Even though he's suggested other ways of em being together.

If Hikari doesn't deny it, he wouldn't want to broach the subject because it would lead to questions he wants to avoid.
That's sorta my point though - if he's actively in a relationship with Aya, why avoid questions? He doesn't have to give a full how they met - which honestly, the next chapter discussion where he owns up that he had an inferiority complex would have also been the place to own up about Aya if he was still dating her cause he'd already opened up the box a little.

Yeah BSS but I feel like that's way better than actual NTR where someone is stolen in a actual relationship sooooo it's fine right?

Now I understand where you get this idea. However, if you read the WN chapter, this point definitely doesn't hold:
1. Yuu suggests that they could go somewhere else most likely because he is actually worried that she might be bored with him or anything. She responds internally with thinking that he doesn't even have a clue how irreplaceable these moments actually are for her, how it's not unpleasant at all, how fun it is for her to stay like this with him.
2. She initiates intimacy basically to assure him that she likes to spend time this way alone together.
3. The line about "protecting this place" comes long after they started making out. She doesn't think about it before initiating the contact, just as one of afterthoughts.

That's sorta my point though - if he's actively in a relationship with Aya, why avoid questions?
Because revealing such thing to your long crush who also happens to be your childhood friend will cause nothing but uneasiness and embarassment. I wouldn't want to talk about my new relationship to someone I've been in love with for a long time.

So reading through, I'm not sure we're disagreeing - everything you're writing also points to physical intimacy being the primary form of interaction & validation of feelings. Which yes horny teens and all that jazz...but also it's been a few months and she's still feeling insecure about Hikari.

I wouldn't want to talk about my new relationship to someone I've been in love with for a long time.
This isn't even talking about it in depth, this is
a) informing folks about it so they don't think you're dating your crush (which would be incredibly insulting to the new(ish) partner)
b) this arc is all about the major role Aya plays in Yuu working through his inferiority complex - mentioning how his gf helped him get over it would I think be the natural thing to do

Which granted, if they were dating then not saying anything is a sign of the relationship not being all that healthy or great and that might also be the point.

I have no idea why are they shifting the protag like this. Maybe I'm impatient. But what?

I'm sure we are. As I said earlier, this chapter is them literally spending time together the same way he did with Hikari but with some skinship. But somehow that skinship and intimacy makes you think that this is the primary form of interaction and that's the only way Yami knows.
Which granted, if they were dating then not saying anything is a sign of the relationship not being all that healthy or great and that might also be the point.
Feels more like you want it to be this way.

I mean, they do have a right to keep it to themselves, no need to shout it on top of the rooftops for the entire city to hear they're dating. I'm surprise you or anyone else will see it as an issue for keeping their relationship status quiet.

I'm going honest this seems really boring especially with no build up even before then it's was really boring. It was fill the shit I hate that in most romance/drama manga that nobody talk or air out their feelings to no one they just keep it in. I want to be really honest here I did skip some of the chapters even then you're not really missing much.

I just realized it's like reading rent a girlfriend you can skip 50 chapters and still fully understand what happening. Tbf you do need look at 10-15 panels preview of the last 5 chapters if I'm being charitable the past 10 chapters to fully understand not read them just look the panels.

I do realize this is stupid me because I might not grasp the "full" story again it's just seem slow even though there's a ""lot"" going on. I don't care about realism it's fictional not to say it can't be if you want to argue it's realistic or realism go ahead.

I'm going recommend skip & loafer although some might not like because It's little more light-hearted and wholesome I'm not saying it's bad if you don't like but if you like this you're not really gonna to Skip probably

Do you guys think we'll get back to the point before the turn of the year?
probably not, since this is release biweekly, and we still need to cover how deep Yami and Yuu's relationship was, how Hikari or Yami befriended each other, somehow become best friend with each other, Yami realizing Hikari is Yuu's original crush, how her would-be rapist stepfather is out of her life, at what did she break up with Yuu, and some other things I might have missed.

I only see it as an issue b/c he's letting his friends think he's dating Hikari - like otherwise yeah I agree he's entitled to keep it quiet. But yeah I think it's kinda weird to not mention it when he's specifically bringing up the inferiority complex and exam w/ Hikari.

But somehow that skinship and intimacy makes you think that this is the primary form of interaction and that's the only way Yami knows.
B/c that's all we've been shown of their interactions in the comic, and their relationship started from sex. Look I'm all for seeing them interact in more and varied ways, but it hasn't been written yet. And no, skinship isn't the primary way Yuu and Hikari interact - hell the contrast between the first chapter and this one is that here they're cuddling while in the first chapter they're reading.

Feels more like you want it to be this way.

They break up and there are unresolved tensions so uh no don't think "this relationship has problems" is too deep a read.

But also, my assumption is that they were already broken up so Yuu wasn't hiding his current girlfriend. This was all a tangent on "if they weren't broken up at the time, then"

I just read the whole holy shit this most nothing manga holy shit It re-confirms my opinion that shit is boring what's is actually happening? Let me answer nothing, nothing is happening. Like what where is the build up ,foreshadowing it just happens and I'm like ok. Then a POV like oh please wrap this up bro we 4 chapters in and it's bizarrely fast and slow (I don't think the word undercook is appropriate word if you have please tell me). it should been Yuu in the entire time she is somewhat interesting Le rape victim that always have Le sex is always interesting and totally not lazy just "fell sad" cop out surely not. I'm sure the teenagers are going talk about their feelings and try resolve it. My God bro 4-12 pages in 2 weeks for D- drama. I'll wait two years for something mildly interesting. Unironically Rent a Girlfriend had "interesting" first ark

He's not, though. He was trying to move on to a different topic, specifically about their friends' relationship and quietly drop it.

The dumbass guy friend didn't pick up on that and kept on talking though. And revealed a piece of cringe history Yuu wish he would have forgotten. Which by that point he was too embarrassed to say anything and just look away in shame while Hikari looked at him confused.

I mean, that would assume Yuu is the standard dumbass romcom male protagonist when the guy has shown multiple time to be a bit more observant and tactful than that. Just like how he doesn't bring up Hikari to Ayami in this chapter unless he absolutely has to, why would he bring up a different girl with Hikari?
