I love this manga so much, the comments are hilarious. I know manga readers are weirdo puritans and traditionalists sometimes, but this manga really brings out the most extreme of you, doesn't it?

Sometimes things don't go well or change and people try to move on. It's like you are not allowed to date anyone because you had an unresolved crush when you were 14.

Yeah but I don't think he tried to move on from Hikari while he was dating Yami, one thing would be to keep on having feelings for Hikari and choosing to date Yami in order to move on, but I don't think that's what he did, imo he never had any intention of moving on from Hikari, he was either going with the flow or dating Yami simply cause of the sex without actually giving much thought to Yami's feelings regarding their relationship, he probably was just using Yami just as much as she was using him, which would just mean both of them are a mess.

However we do know that their relationship was pretty meaningful to Yami, that he continued to allow Yami to escalate their relationship without noticing neither how it was becoming more meaningful to her, neither how it didn't make sense to continue on this path while still harboring feelings towards Hikari, are the reasons why I think poorly of him.

Anyone can start a relationship with someone they don't have feelings for if they want, however continuing with that relationship as that other person starts to develop feelings you won't reciprocate is a dick move.

We need a 12 chapter long flashback arc with his pov frfr

If there is something I learned reading this manga is japanese romance authors have very mysterious neural pathways and they won't write the obvious logical situation sometimes.

This i agree with. I have read a fair amount of romance manga and the times i have been left confused with some of the stories is insane lol

I have a feeling they just have experience. If I write about my dating life in 20's it'll be muuuuch more fucking messy than this, with broken bones, blood, cheating, bdsm, constant ambiguity of everything (including gender), a lot of alcohol, controlled substances use and a bit of psycho shit. This even with a pinch of heavy stuff (Yami family life) feels nice, fuzzy and almost warm like. Just teens, fucking confused, fucking up, but nothing bad really happens.

Also, peeps, stop trying to idolise characters who are supposed to be human. Humans are messy. Humans relationships doubly so. Hell, I think classical literature will give you aneurism if reading this heats you up so much xD
