If you think that you will be the only source of that kind of stuff you are completely wrong, kids find all kind of "not allowed" stuff mainly from friends and acquaintances, if you don't do your job of educating your child young and be open to conversation about stuff you might not like to talk about, like porn or sex, they will look for answers elsewhere, and that can have negative repercussions in their lives.
Also for your second point, an adult knows right from wrong better than a kid because they have been exposed to stuff and have dealt with it one way or another, by not knowing anything and making mistakes or by being helped by their parents to avoid them.
