Cute. makes me wonder, school rules aside, how many Japanese teens are getting 'scouted' through them posting cutesy tiktok or dances on YT versus auditioning for an idol thing b/c i can imagine an existing company finding it appealing to find someone with like, 10k subs or so and a semi-built in audience to get more famous as opposed to someone starting from scratch /underground
If you're talking about that girl, she is back just yesterday.I can still hear her voice...deeeeeer skinnnnn
AHEM These two are so cute. Kuran makes me feel sad though. I feel like something is going to happen soon.
Haha she was kinda back before yesterday (on her idol account) but yeah she's for real back nowIf you're talking about that girl, she is back just yesterday.
i'd imagine that's probably why ppl would audition or so at a young age , if not scouting maybe a child actor who would also have to have a clean image or so but it would be interesting if it's like "I failed as an idol/etc so i just did streaming" since there are some ppl even if they don't put on a persona, get a decent amount of viewers just chilling and being themselves while playing games rather than aiming for fame/doing performancesOkay, there are two separate questions here:
1. Cutesy teens getting scouted through tiktok dances? Very common.
2. Cutesy teens with built-in audience? Avoided like the plague except by the most hands-off new wave promoters. If you know anything about the ongoing VTuber controversy where some promoters have effectively failed to "graduate" their VTubers, then you should also know that built-in audience = built-in LEVERAGE. This is something idol promoters really hate to deal with. The ideal situation for them is to produce the idols from scratch and control them through dependency on the corporate system. Blowing up the popularity of someone who is already inherently popular makes them extremely difficult to control.
