@Vergilx69 He NEVER wanted a harem. He has never said that he wanted a harem. In the chapter that he first found out that Ryuuga is a girl, he even specifically thought to himself that he doesn't care all that much about girls' measurements and all that crap, that it was just an act. Yes, he's still interested in girls, clearly, but he's not obsessed with them.

It's not that he is afraid of anything per se. He enjoys being a side character. He likes it. He thinks it's fitting for him, and he wants to pursue it. Are you going to complain about him wanting to do what makes him happy? What makes him happy is not becoming a main character. What makes him happy is being the frilled running lizard.

Really loved Kobayashi fantasizing about Bunny-Girl Ryuuga and then catching himself. Kicker was his reaction to all three texts which made me legit bonk my head on my desk from laughing so hard. After binging this, I just keep cringing on behalf of Ichijou during those scenes with Ryuuga where she is very, very forward with him. It's just way too hard to just transition from a bro to a girlfriend, but she is already got her family on board with a future and everything. Her heart is set on him meanwhile he is having a full on identity crisis and accidentally setting off events left and right. I also love how he is genuinely worried on behalf of the heroines for all being generally way too easy.
