Pretty sure them getting together was obvious, she is an adult, not a child. And in this world people live hundreds of years so a 20 year age gap is nothing. It is like a 2 year gap.

As for Falco being abandoned, while she isnt the best mom, in this world 15 is age of adulthood. She didnt abandon a child, she abandoned an adult. The biggest issue is she is bad at reading people's emotion and thought Falco didnt care and she taught him everything so she moved on.
I can accept her leaving almost-adult Falco behind with the logic that he can take care of himself

What I cant forgive is her emptying out their shared bank account, which is essentially your mom stealing your wages in a family business

A nation divided. Half the chapter is very cute and wholesome, other half is a child falling in love with an adult and making moves on them (BUT IT'S FINE BECAUSE SHE'S MENTALLY AN ADULT ALSO THEY LIVE REALLY LONG IN THIS WORLD)

I'm all here for the Bunny Dropping and I'm doubly here for the comment wars that are to ensue

Usagi Drop wasn't a "raising a wife" scenario either it was more of a "grooming a father-figure into a husband" scenario. While the results are still pretty much the same, so I understand anyone who is grossed out by it, but I really wish people realize they are different scenarios.

In this case, Falco will be in his 60s by the time Shou is of age (which is 20 in this world) but emotionally it feels more like Shou is raising Falco than the opposite. It's a rather refreshing take but again, I would understand if people are weird out giving the 40 year age gap. Even considering her soul's age, there's still an over 20-year gap between them.
Hell, I'm not even sure Usagi Drop was a "grooming-a-father-figure-into-a-husband" scenario. Rin basically dropped a bombshell on Daikichi out of the blue, with no grooming, and expected him to go along with it. I pretend everything that happened after what the anime covered as non-canon at this point.

It's not, which is why I said "It was more of". He was pretty much pushed into it yet when you hear about it, it's only how creepy he was for basically raising his wife and I'm just like "Yo, did you even read the damn manga? Or you just echoing what you heard about it from a overly generalized opinion that's pretty much wrong?"

I basically ignore anything past the time skip cause a lot of the stuff happened just didn't make sense and seemed more like "Let's throw in a lot of drama". It's a great manga/anime as long as you don't read past that point.

Seems like the author doesn't quite understand the scars of being abandoned by one's parent.

Still, the dude is 50, wasn't he? So he should have matured enough to deal with his baggage. Even though it's the parent's responsibility to raise their child well, it's still one's own responsibility to deal with the wounds left by shitty parents. It's not as if the parent will magically turn good, so it's a bit passive to just not deal with it for decades.

So many curve balls in this chapter, especially the ending.
Also, it doesn't feel right that Lyra was so easily "forgiven". Makes me uncomfortable that she faced no consequences for her actions. Sure, she got to realize her feelings (thanks to a kid no less) but it's far too late. Shitty moms are the worse.
I feel the same! Falco was actually abused/neglected by Lyra and I believe he was passed out & starving in the woods when that other girl found him after Lyra left him so a simple "I love you" ain't gonna fix that relationship. But it did take a good step if he does want that relationship...but she also still doesn't wanna be a parent so idk

I guess the author has some kind of abandonment fetish huh? Ain't no fucking way a simple "I love you" and other sweet words heal that scars.

Also isn't she blood realted to Falco? If they ended up together, it's incest then?

Idk about the first half, but IDC if he was legally an adult, if she suddenly disappearing without any sort of communication or money to feed himself with is called abandonment and neglect. He's still 15 and has no experience doing things for himself. He literally almost died if Geena didn't find him. That's not love at all.

Exactly! I hate that she got a redemption arc like she didn't just leave a child to die alone starving to death with no money. The author must have a fetish for abandonment and age gap too cuz what. Probably using the long lifespan as an excuse. He's basically her older brother if anything. Like she couldn't love him as just family.

The age gap bothers me but that's not the problem here, since she's mentally 20y old she's mature enough to decide this kind of thing. But the problem for me is that he ADOPTED her, like, he is her guardian, I thought he would be like a father!

I know they're not blood related, but isn't it weird? It's like the situation where two not related kids are adopted in the same family. ven if they're not the same blood, if they were raised like siblings it's kinda weird if they end up together, right? Isn't this the same situation?

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I think it's weird... I was really hoping for a father and daughter story, so I guess I'm going to drop this one. Hope you guys enjoy the rest of it.

Obs: if someone here knows some parenting/childcare/familial like story, I would love some recommendations! ^-^

The mother can f off bro.. But good for you, Falco. Though nothing can change what happened you have some closure about it and you have a weight off of your shoulders. Plus someone who wants to be with you forever.
Rip Haru tho? :wtf:

The whole "they live to 200 yrs of age" is just, okay? Falco is 25, Leon's 35 and Gaius is 50, once you scale their 200 y/o ages to our normal 100 y/o. Though, brings in my question, 20 as the age of an adult sounds good but scaled to a hundred years and it's 10, yikes. Maybe I oughta just not try and rationalize this whole age system...
