This is actually accurate in relation to RL. Ducal families were usually closely related to royal families and their members were next in line to the throne after the royals, barring some unusual circumstances.

They already made a setup with that "second strongest" hero, she already has control over the people at the castle, so they don´t need to convince all of them, just that one girl.

Would be funny that in the future, the rest of the class now distrust them because they became the king´s lapdogs, sure they didn´t outright became that, but the classmates would point at the land, help, money, freedom and adulation and MC and Co would have nothing to say, like, it would be funny to see them fail to bring the classmates to their side just because of all that and instead they would go to the enemy, just wanting some karma when karma is needed
