Fair enough. I've read enough shitty isekai and other magic things that I tend to just turn my brain off and just go with the flow. simplify everything to "They did magic stuff and shit happened" until something major happens. Did the same thing with Food wars after a while. Sometimes I would look at whole pages and go "Sweet art. People thought it was tasty." since the details of all the little textures/tastes didn't ever really matter in the end.

I have not read any further than this chapter yet but I am calling it. The person he was just fighting is Zandyke. I had realized at the start of the fight when I saw only the left eye (right from our prospective looking at her) that it was the only eye shown and she is one of the few young people who know his name.
