@Mogima In my home country politicians aren't publishing manga anyway. Only publishing companies do. However, manga like this getting published would be very unusual indeed.
@mommunism It actually is consensual. However, what exactly is a slave's consent? That country/city seems to have some rules concerning slaves, so if she had refused, it's likely he wouldn't have touched her, but their relationship and the owner's good will would have deteriorated, ultimately resulting in her reselling. She might have ended up in the hands of some old, diseased bastards who wouldn't have cared about any laws in the first place. Or in some deplorable place where she couldn't have expected to live long anymore. Michio at least takes very good care of her, respects her opinions and skills, allows her to participate in fighting (which she loves), and doesn't mind her getting stronger, in fact he appreciates it. I'd say she fully accepts her status as a slave and acts accordingly, which means sacrificing something to gain something. It would be jolly good, in my Western mind, if she at least dreamed of becoming free, though. Although even if she did, I'd kind of expect little to change.
