You've no idea what you're talking about: going down monsters with disables and special effects start to appear in large groups, for example [Sleep], [Paralysis] and [Poison]. If you're affected by one of these - you're sitting duck until a party member applies countermeasure to you, like a potion.
If you're alone - you're fucked: monsters will maul you to death before you come to your senses.
