Which means any doggo creature will be named "Cerberus", three heads or not. Or "Fenrir", whether it's a Fenrir or not.

tbf it does show him dozing off/waking up from a dream so i guess he was half asleep/thought that only happened in the dream. Tho,at least Marshmallow/Floofy is slightly better than 'whitey' lol (tho i wonder if there would've been a comic relief scene if he had named him marshmallow and ended up somehow getting real marshmallows and talking about roasting them lol)

Yeah or like show both sides per volume. So vol1 is protags side, then vol2 is the kingdom side. Either is way better then half a short chapter each that feels disjointed.

the light novel? it's base on i think is pretty far ahead, not sure if it's ongoing, but manga wise unless the publishing side suddenly forces the author to go on a 'crunch' and release ten chapters a week (which hopefully wouldn't happen b/c they deserve a proper worklife balance of course), we prolly would have to wait a real decade to get to chapter 50-60 lol

I would prefer to read it in manga form b/c i tend to miss details in long text but just the 'foundation' section alone has 150 chapters so enjoy? (And maybe some spoiler-y stuff in the illustration section but they bugs do look more animalistic /less cutesy if you prefer that

The WN of this has chapters that are usually on the shorter side of average (compared to other WN's), and have short paragraphs. Skim too fast and you'd miss details.

I find the way chapters are laid out in the WN is better tho. Rather than interspersing the "MC scenes" (the scenes involving the MC and his forest friends) with the "non-MC scenes" (scenes involving the rest of the world outside the forest), the WN has alternate POV chapters that tells the story from various different characters (including some of the forest friends). That way, it's not as jarring as what we have here in the manga.

ooh for sure! that would be awesome! i like the human guy who has hope for a future without awful slaves and him releasing the forest, then there's the heroes summoned with him. its all interesting!

Well, idk if the manga will go over it , but based on some previous comments i saw on the ppl who read the novel(s) , apparently the other 4 that were summoned with him died(?) or something and all their power 'transferred' into him which is why he was so ridiculously OP with purification and 'sending back' the curse and all that
