I still wonder why the MC isn't even interested in leaving the forest and meet other people. Sure, he's doing god's work (almost literally) but he doesn't know it. And while it's nice to have fluff, he just never even wonders if there's other humans out there. As far as he knows, he's just having a slow life tending to his garden and helping some injured magical animals.

Maybe we will have an answer soon, not sure where the beast children are going.

That forest is massive, it's like 60-70% of the continent and he's camped near the center. He probably doesn't realize there are bipedal lifeforms out there, and just thinks it's all forest animals or random magic phenomenon that's causing the problems.

I never really liked the clueless type MCs who never know how powerful they are/don't know the situation.
Hopping he starts realizing wtf is happening.

He is not the typical version of it though.

In usual cases, they see the wffects and just assume for some reason that is normal while everyone else freaks out. They are just extremely dense.

In this case, MC has been isolated for who knows how long, who knows how far from any other humanoids, and all he can tell is that some thing he can purify with old mantras he learned as a child infected the local plants and animals, magical and smart but that he has zero ways of knowing are special in this new land.
All while, again not because he is dense but because he has no way  to know, a kingdom was infecting the forest with the curse he healed, and his every big struggles purifying things are actually due to them trying (and failing) to counter his healings.


The MC is not a dense mf that doea not notice his power despite everyone around him, he just has zero ways to measure what he is doing, no way of  getting local common sense, and is far away from the people he is affecting with it save for the small things he thinks is all he is doing.

I'd rather have him stay and be a "spirit" unlike that other manga where a water spirit just becomes an adventurer

It's kind of funny that the MC views them as fungus, and then goes on to pulp them / turn them into fertilizer, which is one of the main functions of fungus in the ecosystem of a forest. So he's calling them fungus, but then he does the fungus thing.

Because forest is Way too Big, it takes most of the world there. And there, on top of the curse, a barrier made out of divine energy, created by the gods.

Yet the king is still alive (for now), lol, i guess it wasn't an attack on that 'crystal' again but still, i'd half expect the mages to also be de-powered to where their mana/magic would be cut off ,rather than just losing memory (which, in that kinda kingdom would be terrifying, then again the king probably just executed them rather than just let them go home/wander around), tho i imagine at this point the MC will never meet the king, but feels like it'd be more 'meaningful' for the kingdom if mc simply weakened his power and that black haired knight 'rebelled' and just did the final blow to the king and takeover or so (assuming ppl would be willing to follow him or anyone else after the downfall finally comes, assuming everyone doesn't just freak out and flee the kingdom)
