Is there even one Isekai story without the most famous tropes? Like at all?

No webshop, no infinite money (for character purposes), no super fast high-leveling, no VR in the beginning, no 'got run over because things'-stuff?

I just want a normal guy /girl in a fantasy world, who can't cope with being isekai'ed and slowly starts to adjust to the new world without going mental, depressive or being the the hero/heroine who saves the world in the near future.

Give the world magic, give them fantasy races, but keep the technology level kinda medieval-ish. No toilets, no modern things like shampoo, showers, cars, easy to make food etc..

@gorrycorryborry have you read 'From Maid to Mother'??? i guess that manga is more suitable for your 'wanted' isekai genre... afaik, until the latest chapter the story still relevant to your preferences...

this ch.4 is GOLDEN! expressions was drawn perfectly, all the emotions are overflowing, and the drama is thick... very nice... the best chapter of all isekai genre... salute to the artist who draw this manga!!!

@GorryCorryBorry, no (well, technically yes, but there are always exceptions). No, because that isn't the point of Isekai or Tensai (reincarnation) manga are explicitly FOR the fantasy of being all powerful and/or all knowing merely on differing levels.
Some may have the video game tropes mitigated to a degree, but the entire underlying concept of the recent "pulled into" or "reincarnated into" another world is for the power it affords the MC...

(Now, if the question is "can they be..." the answer is obviously yes.)

Seriously though, why does the person need to be from Earth in another universe if not the power? Just make them a nativeborn individual.

@GorryCorryBorry I second @Lomyr's recommendation for Honzuki no Gekokujou. It's the kind of story where I honestly forgot it was "isekai" after a while. The author does an amazing job of world-building.

And yeah, LN over the manga, although the manga is fine if you don't have the patience for the novel. (But the novels have a ton of details that add to the world.)

The chapter would have had more impact after a bit more time with the characters involved. Still had a satisfying payoff though.

As for Isekai that lack OP mains and game interfaces, there are a few but the names are so hard to remember. Kono Subarashii is one that comes to mind; Grimgar is another but that one is for people who like pain.
