Been something like 30 chapters since she noted the blade was getting dull. Nothing since about that till now.

Well, what to do now? Don't know about her hands, but from what I've seen of her feet, those can slay multitudes. Of course, I mean things like that image of her holding her entire body up in a sitting position while she gripped her sword that was impaled in the ground, with just two toes. Of course.

Wow, Ginko's katana finally broke. Mid-chapter I was really wondering how sturdy it is, japanese swords aren't really meant for blocking and it even withstood the tail attack of the dragon.

Hopefully she will be able to get it repaired or find a new one. A straight sword like the natives use wouldn't fit Ginko's aesthetic.

Kind of glad that her ordinary Earth katana finally snapped; now she can get one made out of much better material than the shit-grade stuff that Japan was stuck with back in that era.

Though Miko might have some magic steel-repair plant because Miko always has weird shit up her sleeves.

Looking at it closely it could be wine from the cart too

I suspect she's not entirely human. Back when that witch attacked. the spell turned her arm into that of an oni's but didn't do much beyond that. Buddha is real back on Earth, so it's not much of a stretch to think other supernatural beings are/were as well. Considering how many half-human, half-youkai figures there are in Japanese mythology and pop culture Ginko probably also has something non-human somewhere back along her family line.

I thought they said that only the arm transformed because it was healed by the fire hero with magic and the lingering magic caused her arm to transform when hit by Circe

I thought she was gonna impale the eye, there's always the chance she goes goblin slayer and does it barehanded. Ginko def needs an upgrade from the Lv1 katana.

She was practically a monster in our world, I don't think any other samurai could match her unless they were a legendary figure like Miyamoto Musashi (who funnily enough would be around the same age as Ginko)

That's pretty much what I meant, how would she be place, within this universe, amongst the strongest samurai of her time? Or even other Samurai that are legendary enough.
Also I forgot if Ginko's age was ever stated? I know the manga starts a little bit after the Battle of Sekigahara, and Musashi was born in 1583 so he was 17 when it happened.

Is Ginko supposed to be an alternate, genderbent version of Musashi? He also served and survived the Battle of Sekigahara...

You'd think a samurai would know to aim for the gaps in armour instead of hitting right in the middle of the scale. Ah well.

I think she did exactly that, but the hit the sword took before made it unusable.

Afaik we haven't gotten an exact age yet, but we know her father considered her ready to come of age and go to war 1 year before Sekigahara, so she was likely somewhere in her early to mid teens, and 4 years later is now probably late teens, so slightly younger than Musashi.
