How tf did our protagonist lose to a gun?
At 15 to 20 feet, a gunman is way out of reach for a sword. Even for something as primitive as the matchlocks used in the wars of Japan, where the MC came from. How did she lose? Read GATE. That's how. Same way over a 100,000 trained soldiers and Knights were lost at the Battle of Alnus Hill.

OP character that are written nicely?
IMPOSSIBLE!

Tbh, OP characters are quite hard to be written as NOT Mary Sue/Gary Stu. So far, I feel like "whimsical force of nature" is kinda apt for them. Like Saitama for example. Everything doesn't really go along with what they wished, but sure as hell they can overcome the odds by merely exerting a bit strength.

Aunno. I just hate how lucky some OP characters are that every other characters just happens to have what they want to proceed forward
He/she is written like Goku

It's a gun, dude. And it hit her forehead protection, which knocked her out.
his question is actually very valid, ultra fast iai slashes that could cut orcs in an instant, very fast reflexes to evade surprise attacks, and even a great strength to fell an enemy way bigger than her like the basilisk, no way she lost to a freaking... antique matchlock musket.

perhaps buddha gave her power or something, idk, shouldn't be though, as she herself doesn't feel anything weird for now.

that aside, it's nice to see her getting along with otherworld people.

The blunt force of a bullet, even if it's a matchlock (like the typical tanegashima matchlock used during Sengoku Period and Battle of Sekigahara in particular) can cause some nasty damages. Ginko is strong and fast, doesn't mean her body tissues and bones are as durable as her attacks. I wouldn't be surprised if she's a glass cannon, and iaijutsu relies a lot on the initial drawing speed of the blade to deal damage. Besides, orcs, in the end, are just big lumps of meat. Big, but still meat. Not like they're living mushrooms like 40K orks or something. And to be frank, it's pretty standard nowadays that "katana is just better" is a common trope.

Not to mention the bullet hit her forehead guard, which is likely a solid iron piece. It did not penetrate, but the shockwave travelling through is not a joke. Like how you can still get hurn even when wearing bulletproof vests, kinetic force doesn't simply disappear.

I don't expect her to survive being hit by a gun either, just that by her current feat, thought she'd easily evade one or something.
But i fully agree of your assessment about her being a glass cannon.

I really love this. Stumbled upon it and the first two chapters were really really good. I look forward to what will happen next! Thank you so much for doing this!

she seems to be way stronger after changing worlds. So she got a power up, maybe it will get adressed. She was good before, but not "killing hordes of orcs at once" good.

Been a while since I read a series with a truly psycho protag, and Ginko here has more than enough manic energy to carry the story along.
