Long-standing complaint most of us've had for a while, lol. Ultimately, I think he's best interpreted as an excited child showing off his latest toy, rather than a clever fighter bringing the best tool for the job to protect himself/others (most of the time, anyway).

Or a carbine/SBR in an intermediate cartridge, since apparently anything with a barrel longer than 20" is totally unusable in CQC, according to him. I know, boring choice, but hey.
