She chose all the abilities I thought she would except stealth. She should have chosen an ability to protect herself more like one of the magic options. But yeah I understand her immediate goal was escaping so stealth makes perfect sense. Wish she had picked light magic cuz in combination with heal she could become a saintly character

I was torn between Stealth and Physical Enhancement.
Stealth certainly synergies with storage though

Also, I will add that as much as this manga is glazing over the main character's mother, she really made a terrible choice for her husband. It's strange because usually nobility will marry into nobility, so she should have gotten a match who had a certain level of education. Also, she apparently had no siblings nor parents, otherwise I would have expected them to protect the main character? Also, I know that margraves are fairly autonomous, but this country's royalty is definitely dropping the ball here because this territory needs a competent administrator yesterday.

This is a really good insight. I often neglect to consider that family ties and considerations are important for maintaining power and property, but also for the sake of national security.


I am very disappointed in the staff, who really should be doing more to look after the safety and interests of the young lady. Where is loyal old Sebastian, with his hidden assassination skills and squad of highly trained beastmen?

and yeah…not a great chapter for Aria s dear old dad. He was completely indifferent to his people being kidnapped and sold into slavery and he either doesn’t know or doesn’t care that everyone thinks his daughter is dead.

I mean she's ill severely and not fed obviously doesn't visit her. Even his own food is in bad shape

You are a Count! You are a landed noble! Protecting the peasants on your land is literally your entire job! That is the only fucking reason you are allowed to own that land!

When your peasants die, who is going to work the fields? Who is going to raise the livestock? Who is going to harvest the grain? How exactly do you plan to pay your tax to your lord when all your peasants are dead? Do you think he's not going to care that you can't pay your taxes because you allowed foreign raiders to kill and enslave all your peasants?


The author of this story has no fucking idea how feudal societies work.

Oh, and she also (nearly) completely recovered from starving almost to death after only one month. A feat which would normally take a year or two.

Also, I guess nobody noticed her stealing the entire pantry?
