And? Every story needs conflict. And what does "drama" here even mean?

Because it is. In the source (WN/LN?), the two groups never actually met with the larger group in the caves, if I remember past comments correctly, effectively dying of starvation and disease because they didn't have a survival expert like the MC.

I mostly agree, but whole heartedly disagree about them dying because of the lack of a survival expert.

They died because they killed or exiled anyone who disagreed with their leadership, then mismanaged their people and resources.

They died because the brothers took control, and ignored any advice or effort made by people who could have saved them.

Because admitting someone else was more knowledgeable would have weakened their positions as leaders. And they couldn't stand someone being smarter or more capable then themselves.

What? I still prefer this since i dont really want the atmosphere of manga goes more darker than this. I believe having more death on relatively innocent person like (those NPC student) will leaves a bad taste in many people, including me.

Also making the both of faction not interacting at all is kinda dumb in the grand sceme of things because of how MC personality is, especially after he found out what happen on the other faction from the glasses girl he saved.

But still why he didnt bang the chick tho? I really hope they show us after this arc done because the primary needs is mostly satisfied already.

MC will never kill the two psycho's as any sane person in his circumstances would have done when it became clear they're literal psychopath killers, and a danger to everyone.

MC will never actually pork any of the girls.

Protags never kill humans. Protags are never seen to have sex.

Shounen is weird like that... Japanese have vastly different morality in what is and isn't aceptable for Youth, and a frankly Alien attitude towards relationships from a Western POV..

And it differs immensely whether or not a boy or a girl is involved, or is the focus of the action...

Sometimes I feel that the Japs are Keeping to the Tropes not because of Lazy Writing, but simply because straying from them means venturing in a social minefield made of H-bombs, shrapnel, and the ghosts of your Ancestors..
When they do stray from the mold, the manga are...well... at least Interesting... But those are never classed as Shounen...
