This would be a really good premise if the mc was better. I don't know about you guys, but I think he is doing a terrible job of switching his mental state from 'I live in polite society' to 'We live on an island with a bunch of crazy assholes and these 5 girls are relying on me to keep us all alive and safe'.

I'm self-aware enough to know that most men overestimate how useful they are in these situations, but I am at least confident that I would have long ago put my mind to killing those psychopaths on the other side of the island. You don't gotta kill all of them, just the few at the top of the hierarchy that are pushing their crazy shit onto everyone.

He didn't use the gun on the tiger for one, keep ammo because a pistol has better mileage against other people than wild beasts, and two, to make an example of slaves and assert dominance through fear.

But using a gun in a duel, even if he didn't state outright that weapons weren't prohibited, is stupid and just shows he cannot be trusted. He should have simply executed the teacher instead of using a dual as an excuse.

Imo I think his decision of hiding and running is a good choice as how are you gonna kill or defeat a group of thugs who are completely unhinged and won't stop at anything(even kill their own teacher and classmates) and people willing to do their bidding inorder to survive with just 9 people. You are completely and utterly out numbered.
Plus I think the one thing most people are forgetting is that the MC is just a high schooler with a hobby of being a survivalist not an ex millitary veteran. Even if it's just killing the leaders those d**k for brains won't come alone to let him kill them, even with traps, it will be hard to actually kill literal humans with basic education and understanding of his/her surrounding with just survival knowledge. In size they are outnumbered, so mc is sizing them up. The MC's food and mineral resources is abundant while the ex brother's human army is Huge and HUNGRY.

The only reason it never went like Ukraine to Russia is because the ex brother is still hallucinating and probably don't know where they are. If they knew the base, it would have went under like Ukraine.
