What the hell is wrong with the mangaka, then?! The LN sounds so much better, why not use that script!?

My biggest issue with this story is how quickly he forgives them just because they trembled a bit, but from what you're describing, seems like the LN addresses everything wrong with this manga and does much more! Why did the mangaka choose to butcher the script!?
