This manga has gotten worse and worse.
The new potential ally of Jagan has the dumbest backstory I've ever seen so far. Lost his grandpa which turns him into a murderous psychopath, killing in broad day-light? lol

neat to see the art improvement between the cover from volume 1 compared to 10

god, the art has just gotten so lifeless and dull. The first few chapters were great and oozing personality. But now everything is stream-lined and just flat looking. Did they change the artist?

@dsid2814, don't remember which chapter jagaaaaanScans said this, but if you're referring to the most recent ones, they're not the volume releases, which have redraws that add the shading to all flat parts

went recheck some stuff: https://mangadex.org/thread/234614/1/#post_1925980 is the message about weekly vs. volume

JagaaaaaanScans used volume releases, while Hyakuro did not (i think, a bunch of shirts were flat like in the comparison), but volume 10 looks like it's the weekly versions again (judging from chapter 103 which has the lack of details for clothing and hair)

so yea, it literally is more flat than before because of lack of shading/detailing

Nah, we never stopped using the volumes. This IS volume 10. The actual magazine version is worse off than this.

The art took a big dip in quality that lasts from 103 to 111, and the artist didn't make as many improvements to this volume as the previous ones. Only about 30-35% of the volume was improved upon this time around and almost all of it is on the back end of the volume (ch. 112-114 in particular).

Starting from chapter 112, the art will go back to normal.

not even that. But the art style changed to something that was expressive and interesting to look at, to what almost looks like traced flat uninteresting.

The MC doesn't look anything like he used too, he was lanky and all the body proportions were exaggerated. Now it's traced realism.

if you told me this was 2 different manga from two different artists, i would believe you. All the personality was lost at some point.

Oh, I see. You were talking about the art style. Yeah, Nishida's art style has changed significantly over the course of the story. The change you're talking about happened around the end of the HHH arc. From then on, he's been transitioning to a more realistic style like you mentioned. I personally don't mind it too much, but there are certainly times I miss the more animated facial expressions we'd get from the art he put out at the beginning of the series.

Though with that said, and with all due respect, I don't think the examples you posted for the "Chapters within the 100s" does the man's art justice as far as what he generally puts out. The first one is from the current (and really bad) quality dip I mentioned and the second one is actually from chapter 90 (when Nishida was dealing with an injury to his elbow iirc). Those examples and recent chapters from the 100s are what the bottom of his artwork barrel looks like imo.

The man can still throw down some amazing art, but the injuries he's been racking up hurt his ability to be consistent and I think it might be one of the reasons he changed his art style too, but who knows.

does justice as to what? its just to show there was a significant change in his art. What was once unique and very skilled art, has become rushed, generic and bland.

even if we go by the "fixed" art here

the style is still gone. What made Jagaaaan a raw read, was that the art reflected the style the mangaka was telling, everyone was unique and their body proportions, how they stood, and how he drew them matched.
But now it's... just.. bland "traced" realism.

Justice to what he generally puts out, like I said in my post.

I don't think we disagree on much here because I also think it's unfortunate that his art style changed up the way it did. I just don't think it's fair to use the worst of his art as an example of how much his style has changed, that's all.

Seeing the Yaoi vibes in the air this chapter just made me realized, Jagasaki planted his seed in that guy pussy.
