I checked this out wondering why this is one of the top viewed manga, and was disappointed.
This manga tried to be unique. It isn't a harem, the MC isn't some really kind dude that gets all the chicks, but it's extremely boring as well.
First of all, if you became a sage, it's true that earning money and finding a job would be good, but why would you just let yourself be the servant of a rich girl for five years when your wish from the start was to become the strongest person?
The MC wished to be the strongest person, so his desire should not be working under a spoiled princess all his life, but to test out his strength and compete in tournaments or something.
He should have quit after earning money. Why the hell did he stay a servant when he wished to become the strongest person?
Secondly, the romance between MC and Brauer wasn't developed at all. The writer was just like 'Brauer fell for him because reasons' and they agreed to marry so quick without any romantic developments.
Brauer still looked and dressed like a dude as well, mainly probably to serve under the family, but there's never a moment where she's shown to actually be a girl.
Sometimes, it feels like she's actually a dude.
Third, they introduced them going to the academy, but afterwards, never showed chapters of them being in the academy. Most of the chapters were spent talking about the side character which was the stereotypical isekai MC.
The characters are so bland and flat. There are no eccentric personalities except for the overprotectiveness of the father and the brother.
The one enemy shown is a stereotypical isekai enemy: the perverted, greedy noble that looks and acts evil upfront
There's a comedy tag, but I never laughed once. There's a fantasy tag, but the explanations about the fantastical stuff was pointless because the magic the enemy used didn't matter, MC is OP.
The writer obviously wrote this just to kind of stray away from the stereotypical isekai stuff.
He didn't write harem, instead wrote a side character stereotypical MC with a harem and made the MC beat him.
One of the beautiful girls that the MC encountered didn't fall for him, and instead fell for another guy.
I get what he's going for, but the problem is how it's one of the least fleshed out manga out there. There's no end goal, just arcs that are thrown out randomly.
Now, why the hell is this one of the top viewed manga?
