I feel like i’m obligated to respond because of how much effort you put into your message as well as all the others before this.

Honest to god, i was naive. I completely forgot that the betrayal of a loved one was way more sickening than a scumbag being a scumbag. My justification is that in reading the LN and WN, the author put so much emphasis on how much of a psychotic bastard Kondo was and how muchc Miyuki regret her actions, even if it was for her own sake and not Eiji’s, that it felt like Kondo was a mistake and Miyuki was the victim. Which now that i think about it, was probably the reason for why they keep bringing Miyuki back to piss off the readers. Part of me somewhat sympathised with her because ive made a similar mistake that, while not betrayal or breaking up with someone (ive never had a gf in my life), was bad enough that i felt like i couldn’t atone with my whole life. I felt that all her actions could (in theory) be explained, not justified, by teenage naiveté, and to psychological reasons due to Kondo basically having her on a leash and the fear of facing the consequences.

A lot of people said she wasnt “forced” into the relationship, which is true because she willingly accepted the leash wound around her neck. But if you think about it, if she were never introduced to Kondo in the first place, it might not have happened. Though i’ll also acknowledge the argument that she is still a bitch who only cares about herself and will probably cheat later down the line even if it isnt Kondo who led her astray. Of course, because she didnt have a brain and a sense of conscience until after Eiji almost killed himself.

But i honestly didnt factor betrayal into the equation because the way the author frames Miyuki, it felt like she was the victim, so much so that i intuitively forgot that her true crime was betrayal of a loved one and it cannot be atoned for. I’m not trying to defend her at all, ive already quit doing that ages ago. But because i somewhat sympathised with her, i also wanted her to fix herself and turn over a new leaf. It seems completely impossible at this point, because she’s been abandoned by everyone, she’s literally starving herself to death, she cant even find release in death because Ai stops her by saying it would hurt Eiji even more. She did something completely inhumane, sure, but does her remorse mean that she should get a second chance at life? I’m sure most people would say no, and i’m also starting to agree that it isnt.

Literaly think about it, what can Miyuki do to atone for her actions? Of course suicide, as much as readers want to happen, is not true atonement because Eiji will feel responsible, and obviously she not atoning for shit. Apologising is long off the table. Turning over a new leaf? She’s already shred her reputation to bits and has no one to help her, so would it help her in any way? Turning herself in and accepting punishment? Honestly probably the best option, and the reason why the author kept her for so damn long. But it doesnt feel like true redemption. So genuinely, it might just be impossible to redeem Miyuki.

I’m very bad at contemplating these kinds of moral issues and questions, but i don’t think that a legitimate death sentence will be given to Miyuki for cheating, even if the crime of driving someone else to suicide is put on top. And because the author wouldnt kill off someone like Miyuki because “cute girl redeems herself one day” and whatnot. (Author, i’m tired of waiting 250+ chapters JUST for Miyuki to actually do something in her life, and even that is mainly for her own sake, not others.) Still, i understand that she is genuinely a piece of shit that everyone wants gone, or just dead. Or just continue living to live in eternal hell of regret. I now see her crime as far worse than Kondo’s, which means that we should (mentally, because why would it happen in the story) kill the two with fire then nuke them two just be sure.

Kondo being a hero for being a hoe magnet and saving other people from bitches is a fire perspective. Please don’t stop cooking.

(I have no idea if i’m even making sense in this message because god did i have a lot to yap about. TLDR, i was wrong. Betrayal makes Miyuki a lot worse than Kondo, although both deserve hell. I somewhat sympathised with Miyuki, but i no longer think theres a way to redeem herself.)

Well after I calmed down and looked at the issue again, I still think there is no way to atone for his actions because all her ways of atonement were to please herself and even the thought of suicide was for herself, she lost everything and this is because of her actions and she deserves it, the author is kind of annoying as he always repeats the chapters of regret, it would be better for Miyuki to change her life and go to a new neighborhood and a new school and start a new life where no one knows about her past, well after what happened to her I don’t expect her to repeat the betrayal unless she is still naive, his act is unforgivable and she cannot go back but she can start a new life with new people and move on and forget the people in the past, this is the only thing she has


After thinking about the chapters of regret and such, it seems that she is pathetic and people forget his actions and sympathize with her. I do not deny that even when I saw those chapters, no one would wish for anyone to be in her situation, but she was wronged by his dirty personality. I am not saying that she should live like this forever, but she has no solution except to stay away from the people she hurt and stop clinging to them.

Kondo is a piece of shit, everyone knows that, but we focus our hate on her because she was the one in a relationship, she chose to cheat on her boyfriend and chose to continue seeing Kondo.
