It's because Miyuki is MORE afraid of her reputation taking a hit, as the question will come WHY Kondo had her in that situation in the first place! She'd be revealed as a Cheater!

Her not doing the right thing is just MORE PROOF she was a BIG WASTE of the Aono's time ever associating with her! The only BENEFIT of that association was her Mother Ms. Amada! Miyuki fails to do what she KNOWS Eiji would have done for her! Though she also knows

In the end the Teacher in Interview PART 2 which happens AFTER she is caught dead to rights. He and Ms. Aono find EVIDENCE the Kondo DID grab her by the Wrist and Eiji never really touched her! And well we find out from her POV after the separation from Eiji in Ch 1 that she flew into panic mode that Eiji found out and the STUPID SHIT she did calling him a stalker and begging Kondo not to abandon her! Meaning all of that was done on the spur of the moment! A Snake Coward who threw some she cared for under the bus to save her own skin and KEEPS doing it because she wanted to PROTECT the reputation she realized only SO LATE at that point was MEANINGLESS because she only maintained it so she could be an EQUAL to Eiji, so she could tell herself she can take care of herself! She only realized what she forgot only AFTER she was ruined by her bad choices

Kondo noticed the bruise and quickly took a pic of it with Miyuki "Not resisting" as he smooth talked her into MORE GUILT because "she put his future in jeopardize" acting like because of HER bad choices and actions, she got him into deeper trouble when that entire affair in CH 1 was his prooding! The stupid idiot then BELIEVED him when he said it was only "Insurance" if Eiji sought revenge (the fact she believed that of Eiji or that Kondo was still a GOOD PERSON just amazed me! Someone said it best "those ten years meant NOTHING to her for the chance of losing her virginity to a handsome boy....and not her Boyfriend of YEARS becausae "full of herself!" It's like that question if you met the love of your life and got together, then a HOT WOMAN approached, KNOWING you're married to fuck! Would you take the offer, especially if indication makes one THINK you're woman will ever find out!

While she never TRULY said what Kondo was slandering Eiji with was true, she never discounted it, and her Female Friend just assumed it was the truth because 1. She knew NOTHING about Eiji, so it was EASY to think he was a CREEP (She is friends with the Soccer Club and KNOWS Kondo, she just ASSUMED he was a cocky blowheart who isn't so bad! While Eiji makes her think "creep" because girls like her think guys NOT like the Jocks and those she hangs around must secretly be "creepy' and 2. she never liked the two's relationship anyway! She really thought she had Eiji PEGGED and even HELPED the Soccer Club members find and vandalize his desk to get Miyuki JUSTICE! (Boy did she have a Pikachu surprise face when the truth came out, and she effectively got herself EXPELLED for bullying like an idiot "avenging a cheating skank who could have told the truth to her at anytime, but DIDN'T because Her or Eiji.....Miyuki is a fair-weather friend when the chips are down!

Thought her ruin is her own! Hell Ai calls her out when she tries to go "Apologize" to Eiji as she knows she isn't 100% sorry, nor had INTEREST in his innocence as she DOES go the "Well he could have said something" ignoring her outburst chapters back at him and trying to separate him from Miyuki thinking she was being PROTECTIVE when she was just being a NOSY Karen making judgements! She's only apologizing "

She's scared of being a Cheater, that would have been exposed and she was TERRIFIED of losing her reputation, as well as the truth coming out when it got this BAD, all those "supporting her" and lashing out at Eiji she KNOWS will turn on her if she reveals the truth of it. And she idiotically still thinks "Kondo is a good person" and she got him in this mess! IGNORING he approached her to CHEAT in the first place! But she forgets that because another part of her lizard brain thinks she's the one in control, when she LONG lost control of things.

By the time she learns how BADLY she fucked it all up and ruined her future.....is when she is "given" a "nice picture" of Kondo with another woman! Next to finding out he WAS playing her while with other girls and she was a FOOL to think she wasn't ANYHTING but another ASS for his stable! Not Mare ASS as in the Donkey cause she IS an ASS

But the important part of the picture that is the focus is that the woman has jewelry she GIFTED Kondo, a SYMBOL of their "relationship" (basically a symbol of their CHEATING she was FORGETTING was VILE for a TAKEN WOMAN to do! It broke whatever SPELL he had over her as she got a call from him BEGGING help, and when she askes the STUPID QUESTION of she meant anything, realizing he was caught, the smug prick confesses and mocks her for being a fool. THIS BREAKS HER! By the time the truth comes out and the ruination begins and she is told in no small words she is EXPELLEED as the consequences of this chapter catch up and she loses ALL her supporters! Well she is broken to realize it was all for NOTHING, the Teacher telling ehr she squandered her last chance at this point is just SALT on the wound! making clear what she cost herself beyond just Eiji, all for meaningless sex with a creep, she finally has her "WHAT WAS I THINKING!" But again "too little too late" LOL

I skimmed the novel and the interesting but sad thing (because it makes Miyuki even worse) is she knows Eiji is a great guy and she probably doesn't deserve him. You even see it with Ai that she falls in love in like a day and even the literature club senpai would tell you the same thing begrudgingly. And even I remember Miyuki said she's the one who falls in love first and did things so that Eiji also falls in love with her. But this also makes her subconsciously or consciously want to hide Eiji and make him not stand out. There's this special chapter about one year ago where her best friend disparage Eiji but she doesn't retort back and just smiled because she doesn't want the status quo of her being popular and Eiji being random guy to change? So basically the vibes are why would this pretty and popular girl being with this unassuming guy, like that?

Also I'm not really understand relationship or friendship but isn't it weird that your best friend at school don't know your childhood friend lover of 10 years?

She DID turn suicidal herself the moment she found out that day she called Ai "Homewrecker" was the day she almost LOST Eiji because of her actions! It doesn't absolve her of course and as I said before Ai who WAS keeping an eye on her calls her out when she attempts suicide later! I will give her points for at least DOING the right thing on so fucking late in the game after Ai's "Spiritual beatdown" she still had the nerve before that to act like Ai did ANYTHING wrong when she was FIXING the idiocy she caused as AGAIN Lets be real

If Eiji HAD commited Suicide because Ai wasn't up there (contemplating her OWN suicide to add! Thankfully she priortized talking HIM out of it that in a funny way Eiji DID Save her from herself LOL), Whatever he died or not! Do you really think she wouldn't be NEXT! And the worse thing would be NO ONE would no the truth, even anything found would be halves! But well we DO know one thing! Endou would have been FAR more ruthless in taking Kondo, Tachibana, and everyone associated with Eiji bullying that lead to that then he already WAS! She'll have ALL this experience that it won't be AKWARD meaning I feel her Female friend put this idiocy into her head about Virgins breaking up because the first time was terrible....a Girl who has NEVER DATED BEFORE! Advice to people IRL don't listen to OBVIOUS idiots no matter how much you are close to them! For one if Kondo was meant for just FUCKING she never should have been GOING ON DATES WITH HIM (This is how she got CAUGHT by Ms. Aono and later Eiji, the last one WORSE if I remember it was his BIRTHDAY....something she never MISSED before.....Why would you CHEAT on your SO's FUCKING BIRTHDAY and act SHOCKED your presence WAS MISSED....Cheatings a HELL of a DRUG) Plus she had A LOW SENSE OF DANGER just LOOK at Kondo, anyone with SENSE would have seen him for the DEVIL he is, but Miyuki didn't because she had NO SENSE of danger and thought she was in control. She saw his TRUE FACE multiple times and it's only AFTER she discovers he IS the fuckboy she saw the first time with NO inner depth and only wanted to FUCK HER and that was THAT, with the ADD later that he did so on someone who WANTED to hurt Eiji through her BETRAYEL and it only HAPPENED because of her idiocy! Yeah you can see WHY she broke, she trusted the WRONG people and pushed those she should have away! She deserves what is happening to her!

It's why I'm for REDEMPTION for Miyuki. Only AFTER the Shit Conga she's in by her own foolishness ends! She's got a backstory that FITS a GOOD Redemption Arc because again Miyuki isn't evil....she's just STUPID and Cowardly, which is why it works, giving her such an ARC. Again I don't expect at the end for it to be a HAPPY HAPPY Ending for her. Only BITTERSWEET since it won't get her back what she threw away foolishly (she did so in a "this will be here when I get back" and in HORROR "she realized she threw it in the trash and now it's LOST forever" because she didn't handle it PROPERLY

She's like a spoiled brat who had everything handed to them that when DADDY/MOMMY passes and they get it ALL! The fool wastes it all in WEEKS that was meant for YEARS and wonder what their suppose to do NOW like morons! The Hate for Miyuki is hard to get rid of BECAUSE it's too late for it that she did the right thing and only AFTER it all fully collapsed that she had no choice "But to SEE the truth and can't look away" /SPOILER]

Spoiler: Another Good Point

It’s also funny that Miyuki gets a special delivery of her own on the same day as the soccer team in the form of pictures that shows her that her ’New Boyfriend’ has other mares in his stable! When Kondo calls Miyuki later on, she asked him about the picture of him going into another girl’s house. He tried to convince her that it was an old picture… but she confronted him that in the picture he was wearing the bracelet she had just given him. Completely cornered, Kondo coldly dropped the entire ‘Nice Guy’ facade, telling Miyuki that he hated when loose girls like her get too clingy, and that he never once saw her as his girlfriend! This is when Miyuki finally realized too late that he was just leading her on from the beginning and she had destroyed her relationship with her mother, Eiji and his family for absolutely nothing!

Bottom line: to Kondo, Miyuki was just the ‘flavor of the week’…

As for Endou, well Kondo should have remembered this one fact: ‘When you live your life by kicking people out of their spotlight, you’re making a whole lot of enemies in the shadows that you can’t see!’… which is a good reason why you should never intentionally go around looking to make enemies… because you may already HAVE more than you KNOW ABOUT! and Kondo has made ONE too many when it comes to Endou the GOAT!

Yep, I loved this part because you KNOW despite Miyuki playing Stupid, in her Mind, she KNEW Kondo was trouble. She only Clung to him because she thought she LOST what she put on the SCALES thinking she'd get it back without ever knowing it was gone (having her cake and eating it) and Kondo confirmed it when he dropped the act. I wondered what was worse, the fact at that moment Miyuki was like "those OLD Loony Tunes cartoons where a character got tricked into falling off a cliff but before they did they looked at the audience and transformed for a moment into a Sucker Pop/Dunce Cap" discovering she was NEVER in control and Kondo was EXACTLY the type of person he LOOKED and she was STUPID to think otherwise....that she thought he was DATING material after how this relationship started in the first place and his behavior towards Eiji including the frame up. But we know the full truth! She KNEW she was nothing but a Flavor of the Week to him the second he EYED HER and propositioned her, she KNEW IT, but fell for the trick his type always pull. "Letting the Fool THINK they were EVER IN ANY TYPE OF CONTROL!" The only control she had was back then, and by back then I mean telling him NO when he propsotioned her! I can see him PANICKING and trying HARDER to seduce her hoping to get a PITY Yes! If she had stayed FIRM, eventually even HE would lose his patience and the mask would drop THERE AND THEN! Miyuki was WEAK and she knew it! And she knew she was even MORE pathetic that she thought she could make it WORK!

Bitch you are in a FOUNDATION of Cheating and lies at other's expense. This was NEVER going to work out for you! And I don't know yet, but I was STILL hoping she discovered Tachibana and the fact Kondo only went for her BECAUSE of Tachibana's attempt to ruin Eiji....and she fell HOOK LINE AND SINKER like a fool! Especially if she finds out Tachibana TRIED what Kondo succeed with her on Eiji PRIOR and Eiji DID say no and resisted, even was NICE and Kind to NOT bring it up (and forgot abit because of the chaos that Miyuki FOOLISHLY let happen because she was WEAK) as it makes it CLEAR to her she was ALWAYS a Weakness to Eiji. Laughable she once did everything she did to be his EQUAL when in the end, "she was TRULY never good for Eiji" and it WASN'T because she was PRIOR, but because she CHOSE not to be GOOD for him. Because ANYONE good for Eiji.....like FREAKING Ai did what SHE should have done when Kondo first came around (and Ai wasn't even DATING or associated with Kondo before meeting Eiji) and that was "tell him to get lost!" As even when he was FAKING, Kondo was painfully OBVIOUS that he just wanted sex and that was it! Ai hated him PRIOR for other legit reasons, but even without those, she KNEW he just wanted to get in her panties and THAT was why she wanted NOTHING to do with him (and why he refused to accept he got REJECTED, because so many OTHER girls "fell in line" because the NARC can't FATHOM that "that was because sans Tachibana, the rest were fools who were EASY!" But why would he, that would suggest that NONE of his "Conquests" were ever REALLY anything but "easy Chicken Nuggets for a predator!" He never TOOK DOWN "REAL PREY" only Prey READY to be eaten cause they thought he was EASY only to discover themselves he wasn't and UNDERESTIMATED "Pair Bonding" which was WHY Miyuki and Eri fell for him! Tachibana was a sociopath, so it's no surprise she could fuck him and feel NOTHING but the pleasure of the moment without getting attached and being a fool! She's a FOOL of her OWN hubris

And of course Kondo would NEVER get what you just said. Endou ONLY went after him because he targeted Eiji! Endou was MORE then happy after Eiji helped him FINALLY quill his Hate for the POS and Eri to move on and forget the two ever existed till the fool did what he did to Eiji! Plus don't forget as Kondo loves to remind everyone "He is an ELITE!" Something he got from his father! They act as they do because they never suffered KARMA for their bad behavior before! But as your words say, their due comes in time! I don't even SEE him LEARNING anything from Juvie. Once he gets out, I see him other then the Soccer Club members coming after him because they can't FATHOM that it's their own faults they got expelled for helping him, they had their own agency. but they've shown their as horrible as he is! Kondo seems to bring out the WORSE in anyone who associates with him...sans Tachibana who if you think on it was the one who MADE HIM! His father's behavior and teachings set the ground work, but it was her enticing him to go after Eri and start his "harem picking" that lead him to FULLY becoming a horrible person!

And since he NEVER learns no matter HOW much he knows he SHOULD learn, but doesn't because he thinks he's BEYOND it. I will say I can't WAIT for the ruination to BEGIN, I loved it when it happened in the novel, and I've grown TIRED of his smug face in the manga, got a TASTE of it when he found out Eiji was with Ai for a moment! I mean with Tachibana she actually ADMIRED abit Eiji's loyality to Miyuki that she actually for a MOMENT and can't say if it was mockery "felt SORRY for him" when Miyuki foolishly got HOOKED by Kondo so EASILY....where in she FAILED to do so on Eiji BEFORE she went this route. I think it was LESS mockery to Eiji and more mockery towards Miyuki! Doubt Tachibana really CARED about Miyuki at that point! She was EASY and now HOOKED to the monkey, she knew her FALL once "clean up" happened (Eiji no longer writes, she no longer needs to worry about him EVER competing with her as the END GOAL was getting rid of him, I believe Tachibana would prefer he drop out or transfer over him DYING as that would get HEAVILY investigated) when Kondo leads Miyuki along and

And I'm not shocked the Loud Mouth Female Friend did that (I might have missed that chapter myself, got to go find it LOL) as it made sense to what I felt about her! Especially knowing her connection to the Soccer Club and her SUPPORT of Miyuki's relationship with Kondo! Because she never DISAGREED with her assesstment of Eiji, it MUST MEAN that Miyuki agreed, but as you said, she did so BECAUSE the less any other girl .

It's why she didn't take it well when Ai came around. The best part is she KNOWS Ms. Aono didn't JUST accept Ai as her SUPERIOR out of the blue as she made CLEAR to her. But because Miyuki showed she was NEVER WORTHY of her son by betraying him like she did, and this is Ms. Aono UNKNOWING to the bullying CAUSED by Miyuki (Kondo caused it, and her friend and his club fan the flames, but in the end, SHE is at the center of it, even if this wasn't her wish....she sure as hell made no attempt to

I think the Loud Mouth (sorry if I don't give her name, I forgot and I think it starts with a R LOL) did know, but was on the belief Childhood friends are people you leave BEHIND (having none herself as Miyuki and her don't count as Childhood friends) and because Miyuki never dismissed her assesstment of Eiji who she saw as unassuming and not WORTHY of Miyuki (Because of HER taste in men! One should be careful with "Friends" like her, they usually see you with "people" THEY like regardless of you're TASTES because they can't FATHOM why no one would go for them! My little brother and stepfather the PIGS assumed SLUTS were the way to go for me without a care of how I feel, ESPECIALLY since my Father was just like those two and a SERIAL CHEATER who'd put Kondo to shame! The man had a better poker face then Kondo at least LOL! I'm not a fan of these types or those type of girls) so it's no SHOCK she was the QUICKEST when the lies were going around to ATTACK Eiji thinking she FINALLY had PROOF Eiji was a CREEP and Miyuki's "silence agreement" was just her unable to escape him but NOW that "she knows the truth" she will HELP Miyuki escape him and punish him for being a creep.....which lasted till she already crossed LINES in her "witch hunt" and discovered Eiji was innocent, KONDO was the one to harm Miyuki (someone she saw as BETTER and the Soccer Club, her so called FRIENDS never gave her a HINT that Kondo was a POS and remember they DISLIKED him, they just had the FOLLOWER mindset because the Captain of the Team was incompetent and FAILED to keep Kondo in LINE, hence why the Club fell to his whims) and Miyuki let her RUN HEAD FIRST into her doom....with only a MEEK "I'm Sorry" once she was FINALLY CAUGHT and exposed (I can IMAGINE her look of horror once it was CONFIRMED that Miyuki LIED, knew from the start, and told her NOTHING letting her DOOM herself! Not that she was sorry as she STILL acted firm that she was in the RIGHT for wanting to avenge her friend till the Teacher shut that down by reminding her THAT was for the Authorities and Police to handle, not a CIVILIAN STUDENT meaning her Vigilante justice was BS and only ended up being a WEAPON used against INNOCENCE because she was RULED by her BIAS then her SENSE OF JUSTICE as she could have ALWAYS tried to HELP in proving Eiji's guilty and get him PUNISHED properly. but she felt SHE could do it better, and looked like a DUNCE when she discovered he WAS innocent after all! She never CARED till it got her in trouble via BACKFIRE).

As I think I remember, I think she called Miyuki out on "if she ever saw them as FRIENDS" as she ALWAYS had the chance to SAY anything to her, stop her train of thought or DEFEND Eiji but she didn't! But then again, for all her ACTING like Eiji should have said anything, she KNOWS she'd never give him the time of day because she ALREADY judged him as lowly.....thanks to Miyuki NEVER shutting her down on her assessments of Eiji that she'd just see it as MORE excuses to avoid responsibility....something she and Miyuki are VERY GOOD AT DOING LOL

This just more shows Miyuki never STOPPED being a Child. As in SELFISH as one! She KNEW at least Eiji would NEVER betray her. Which is WHY I hope she finds out about Tachibana's seduction attempt, as to find out that in the face of someone HOTTER, Eiji said NO and AFFIRMED he was loyal and loved Miyuki.....but when faced in the same situation, Miyuki didn't think TWICE, selfishly assuming since she wasn't DATING Kondo, and Eiji would never find out! She wasn't CHEATING or Selfish! Only to DATE the POS, let Eiji's life fall apart (because she's USE to being "quiet" when he's being insulted, so that never changed KNOWING her relationship and reputation would collapse if she DID say something this time. Only to lose it all ANYWAY and be revealed to herself that she was a TERRIBLE friend, something she refused to accept till she could no longer RUN from the truth! I still hold firm Miyuki deserves a Redeemption Arc Spin off AFTER the story's events! Buy I say this FIRMLY so no one misunderstands!

I DON'T see Redeemption Arcs as "hand waves" if they are to be REDEEMED they have to EARN IT THROUGH HARDSHIP (it's why my idea for a Redeemption for Miyuki is it's set a year later ELSEWHERE, Miyuki has moved to her new school where NO ONE knows who she is, she's NOT EVEN the girl we saw her as in this story, the end result being a MEEK pathetic girl trying her BEST to "not stand out" like a wallflower! No ROMANCE or Romcom, the story would be her getting her life back on track, dealing with the Compensation money she has to pay to the Aono's after the lawsuit. And dealing with new relationships with the SWORD OF DAMOCLES over her head on if her PAST will ever get exposed! I can't SEE romance because of the LOSS of Eiji and her FOOLISHNESS in letting herself be played like a fiddle by Kondo forever etched into her mind! Not saying she will EVER find love again, just "in order to be WORTHY of the BASIC that IS love, she has to self-analyze, and that hardship and rebuilding should help! Namely the Major Question "Why did she NEVER defend Eiji, WHY did she even CONSIDER cheating, WHY WHY WHY" and specifically "Why did I think Kondo was first EASY to take advantage of, then He was a GOOD PERSON" cause her sense of READING people was TERRIBLE! Alot of people are hating on Miyuki but you have to remember she is but a child who is being pulled along and simply trying to protect herself. At this time she has no clue the errors of what she is doing not only taking things for granted but also being peered pressured into not going against everyone else either. Most people when committing a mistake like Miyuki will just double down and make things worse for themselves instead of actually properly fixing what they did wrong. It wont be until it's too late for her that she finally realizes how dumb she was and how much she has lost. Ontop of the fact there is no one left on her side to even guide her back onto the proper path.

But yeah I get their point. Even my "redemption" side story is as said suppose to be LONG after the story ended and her old life is COMPLETELY gone in the distance (as though moving away and looking at the back of the car as it fades in the distance) and her REPAIRING her life.

If you enjoy watching her suffer. GOOD on you. I dislike some of the arguments made by her "adamant" defenders that feel more like MAKING excuses or blaming Kondo or "They who will not be named as they are a spoiler " but the "Yes, Let her SQUIRM, let her HURT, LET ME FEEL" types feel disturbing for being THAT gung-ho

Miyuki deserves what she gets, and it was by her CHOICE! But I'm a fan of stuff like "Koe no Katachi/"The Shape of the Voice" which the point of that story goes "when is ENOUGH, ENOUGH really" to punish the guilty! Seeing how the Main character received WAY worse punishment then what he deserved (and worse by the fact everyone ELSE who egged him on, turned a blind eye, or JOINED him quickly threw him under the bus, put the blame on HIM for it all and completely got away scot free with NO REMORSE over what they did to him OR the FL who was the target of the bullying! It was LAUGHABLE they had ANY RIGHT TO THINK "THEY" HAD ANY RIGHT TO PUNISH HIM). It's why I would prefer her arc at least end with her getting better!

I AM happy when she suffers but ONLY when she DID something to DESERVE that suffering (namely what she did in this chapter, what comes next is what she deserves!) but I ask you, does it feel GREAT to watch her suffer IF she actually is working to fix her mistake and doing it MATURALY (not looking for a pass, accepting it IS her fault, and working to atone EVEN if it means CRASHING her life! Yeah it was already crashing, but finishing the job by FINALLY doing the right thing) that doesn't mean she's forgiven. It only means "the pain train must STOP" because she hasn't done anything at that point to warrent it. But it SHALL not be easy either!

Redeemption has to be essentially "climbing the same mountain again" only this time, it's WAY harder cause the mountain they climbed BEFORE was only EASY because they had HELP, now they don't have it or so LITTLE of it that the climber realizes "just what they lost and how EASY things were BEFORE they did the stupid thing "they thought was minor and was a big NOTHING" before it BLEW UP THEIR LIFE! This was because getting caught caused her mind to collapse because again, she THOUGHT she had everything under control, it was only after the FIRST MISTEP even though Ms. Aono shows she had MISSTEPPED already before that point that she lost complete control and Kondo had his claws in her! HER one advantage is that Kondo turned her loose and his going to Juvie and being expelled with NO CONTACT with Miyuki means she has at LEAST a chance! And unlike Eri who ran to Kondo the second Endou made it CLEAR he wasn't her SAFETY NET when she tried to crawl back! Miyuki FINALLY got enough punches to KO that bad ego and mindset of hers when she FINALLY does the right thing! Notice she only starts "getting better" when Kondo isn't around to influence her! And at a point where she KNOWS her life can't get ANY LOWER now that it backfired on her, her BAD decisions!

And Eri better fits what your trying to say at the end of your comment once you see her POV, starting from what happened AFTER Kondo "dumped her" to her struggling, trying to CLING BACK to Endou "without apologizing and just EXPECTING him to help her BECAUSE of their past.....that she FORGOT she tossed into the garbage LIKE Garbage" Only his GLARE at her when she approached caused her to cower back to Kondo, where she made a fool of herself being his "Convenient Woman" and unlike Miyuki (do to it only being a few months or weeks I believe from when the cheating started to when Kondo finally abandons her) when she discovers she was NOT Kondo's number 1 and he played her like "NO SHIT SHERLOCK!" Eri WAS aware of his "cheating" despite her "Begging after sex not to cheat on her!" She knew but kept quiet cause "he always returns right!?" even though she knows she's a "Friends with Benefits" and NOT a girlfriend. It's only when she SAW the Jewelry on Miyuki in the picture that she realized, the gift she gave Kondo, the gift that symbolized her abandonment of her old life, her old self, her friends, and Endou for him was "Re-gifted" as a means to further seduce Miyuki.....she finally realized she wasted and fucked up her life for NOTHING. Kondo was NEVER WORTHY back then and he wasn't worthy EVER! He made a complete JOKE of her and she LET HIM so PATHETICALLY!

Endou's feeling to Eri BEFORE he send the pictures to her and Miyuki says it all! He CAN'T feel sympathy NOR feel bad if she or Miyuki get hurt by this BECAUSE they were the ones to betray first for that POS without a care and in Eri's case, he sees her CONTINUED association with Kondo as PROOF she is a terrible person.....it's why I HOPE as I plan to get back to the part I STOPPED reading they reconcile! Not in a "friendship/relationship" manner as I think with Eiji and Miyuki "THAT SHIP SAILED AND IS NEVER COMING BACK TO PORT EVER!" For BOTH their sakes, it's best to make PEACE with the loss of their old relationship and stop the HATE AND PAIN! It's not good for EITHER of them as Kondo has HAUNTED their relationship since he poked his head into it for Tachibana! Hell I think they BOTH KNOW now that they weren't JUST Kondo's first victims like Eiji and Miyuki were, but TACHIBANA'S as she was the mastermind for BOTH destructions of relationships! For Endou, he isolated himself and only remained FUELED with his JUSTIFIED but very unhealthy anger! Eiji SAVED him and allowed him to smother it abit to live his life again, and it only came back WORSE when Eiji was targeted by that POS just as he was!

For Eri, nothing's going to change that she's a drop out, her parents will STILL disown her once she comes of age and her prospects don't look good! But freeing herself from him like I mentioned with Miyuki means she has a CHANCE to fix her life and at least live BETTER then what would have happened if the events of the story AKA Kondo's downfall would have lead to! You KNOW he was going to abandon her again and likely for GOOD the second her parents cut her off and stop paying the rent to her apartment that he saw as a HIDEOUT for him to hang out in when it was "convenient!"

But I do think the teacher should have made some appeal to their good nature, especially to Miyuki since from Sensei's perspective, the situation escalated out of control and he could at least assume she didn't intend for that to happen. That being said I do share the sentiment of appreciation that others have shown for the teachers in this manga actually behaving like reasonable people.

Most teachers in my life certainly aren't like that. I suppose to them it just a job and they don't see the influence they have or care about providing a safe place.

why are you under the assumption we are trying to justify her actions, when we are simply giving explanations as as to why she could have taken the actions she did. in no way are we saying it was ok for her to do any of the stuff she did either, however that doesn't make her any less of a victim of this situation. you need to look past the whole cheating thing and stop villainizing her as if she was scum that doesn't deserve a second chance at all. also all the choices she made was done so under coercion and manipulation from Kondo as well as peer pressure by those around her. it's very difficult to actually stand up for yourself and say no in such a situation especially in Japanese society. she has since learned how dumb she was regarding the actions as well as lack of actions she has taken in this entire incident and has started to fully comprehend the gravity of what she has done. she has shown remorse and is trying to work towards atonement while accepting her punishments, so she should be allowed a second chance to stand back up as a better person.

I think there's a big disconnect from the folks who read ahead in the novel versus those of us who are learning of things as the manga chapters come out.

From what I've seen so far she was manipulated into being Kondo's personal f-toy, then like an addict she couldn't break herself free from him once it was pretty damn obvious he was bad for her, and now she's in a failure spiral of making increasingly bad choices because of her fear of what will happen if the lie comes apart. She's like a prostitute covering for her pimp because she's more afraid of the pimp than the cop about to arrest her.

Related we know Kondo was emotionally blackmailing her but has there been any indication yet if he's blackmailing her in other ways? He 100% seems like the type of scum that would hold a sex tape over her head.
