Good thing MC waited for prince to say he could fight back before doing so. Although still at risk for lese majeste for hitting the prince even though a duel and got permission. One of those prejudicial rules to favor higher ranked nobility over those under them along with avoiding looking bad or risking accidents. Seriously, MC could get executed if prince or king or queen get outraged and make an issue over it even though prince was one who demanded a duel and asked to be attacked back.

jezus are these people daft? all single digit numbers are show as X all double digits are shown as XX triple as XXX. So if he was really level 2 it would have shown as this 2 and not 002 fml it just annoys me -_-

@jackty89 : I'd bet good money that you'd be completely oblivious to it if the "plot" hadn't already forced down everyone's throats that the 2 isn't what it seems. It is kinda cheap to be complaining about people not realising when you've had it unsubtly forced upon you and they haven't.

Heck, they probably don't even have zero as a numerical concept in that world.

@SotiCoto Even if they didnt say i would have noticed, i noticed it at te start BUT then again depends on the translators too tbh but lets say all level are displayed as i said. The people that live in that world should have noticed because they live with the "system" for their whole lives, that he point i was trying to make.

I mean if you would would live with a system like this for lets say 30 (his parents age) and they have seen lvl 1...100 pass through their daily lives and suddenly you see 002 instead of 2 wouldn't you be like, "hmm thats weird"

@jackty89 : Sure... if you ignore that they needed a special mage to tell them what the value was. I don't think most people have ever even seen the display directly. And who is to know whether they'd ever seen someone with a potential that capped out at 2 before...

As a point or two in your favour though... the mage reading the number should have known better than the royals... especially since he was directly asked if there could have been some mistake and given direct motive to scrutinise the result.

Then again, I didn't even pay it much heed until the system started showing the levels of other people and explcitly omitting the 0.
